For R35k per person you can put something fantastic together and sleep in hotels and not tents.

The 80km route goes up to the tower at Eye of Africa. Includes a tough single track, rocky climb of approx 2km and the descent down the other side.

Staggering that it is now cheaper to go skiing in Switzerland for a week, all inclusive, than sleeping in a tent and eating food prepared by the Landbou Unie/Rotary club aunties.

We rode from Riversdale to Swellendam in TransCape and distance was 98km with 1356m ascent. Did include some tar around Suurbraak and single track just outside Swellendam around the dam.

I support you big guy but I fear this is a dead end.

Pity it is over but was becoming too expensive in my view. Great memories from this event with fellow hubbers!

Is this not the race that starts next to Van Reenen and drops down the escarpment and you ride back up? If so, you don't need a dropper, it is mostly dirt roads.
