  1. Do you not have mobile Internet coverage where you run? Streaming would be the easiest option. I do that with Apple music.
  2. Dammit! that's horrid. Glad to hear you're physically ok. Just be careful of obsessing over the incident and replaying all of the different ways the scenario could have played out. It can lead to unresolved anger issues. Remember it was not your fault. Low winter sun is a real hazard.
  3. Here's one, probably not exactly what you're looking for but close. It's not in JHB but they do deliver. https://www.bankskitchenboutique.co.za/kitchen-craft-deluxe-heat-diffuser.html
  4. If you can't get on board with not eating animals (or their periods... I know, I know, avians are not mammals). Why not try this: http://theworstthingsforsale.com/2019/02/06/the-no-food-astral-energy-diet/
  5. Good to know you're OK. And it won't stop you from keeping on keeping on.

    MotoGP

No such thing as a bad looking Ducati (I used to own a Terblanche designed 999 which my partner called The Blob). So as far as I'm concerned they're all beautiful. Like in modern junior schools: Everyone's a winner... I must say, the aero fairings are something else. I'd like to see one de-logoed. Although I bet they look incredible in real life.
  7. Here's Chris Packham putting it more succinctly than most. It's Brit centric but applies equally. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/feb/03/veganuary-vegan-food-farming The second-to-last paragraph is rather good.
  8. When I read this I absolutely agreed with the sentiment. However, my cursor was strategically placed on the screen, covering the "t" at the end of the word "sement". Bit of an overshare? Ahem...
  9. Thanks for the recommendations. I'll have a go at the weekend.
  10. I'm not a vegan, but a vegetarian. I find veganism more difficult than I thought. I'm sitting in NYC after taking a flight from LHR. Unfortunately in my tiny world employment takes precedence.
  11. I tried to read the entirety of this thread, but the Danie Gerber reference interrupted me. If it's been mentioned before I do apologise. If you are on the fence about vegetarianism/veganism, find an abattoir and park outside for an hour or so and hear the pigs scream or the cattle lowing (Xmas reference there). It'll change your mind. It did me, in 1988. Yes, I'm an old f*****.
  12. I only like this for the Gerber reference. The man can drink. And side step a bill: allegedly. Ahem, it was in Windhoek in the nineties.
  13. Use your favourite search engine to find Express VPN it is not the cheapest but it is a very reliable service. Also the online chat support is superb.
  14. I've no idea where the xxxx you're talking about, but it's very inspirational. Keep it going matey! (I mostly live in Blouberg and commute to Town it's quite flat but farking windy).
  15. I believe Happy Bidet is the correct phrase/present... Levity is welcome in this saddest of times. Edit: removed a word..
  16. **** me what would happen to you lot if Makro started to sell Sxxxz? More people on bikes = better. Brand snobbery is thoroughly unpleasant.
  17. Analogue synths and superb guitar. Oh and some bike stuff too.
  18. Making a splash: American town launches Uranus Examiner newspaper. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/sep/14/american-town-launches-uranus-examiner-newspaper-missouri Quote: "This week publishers announced the launch of the Uranus Examiner, a new local paper in Pulaski County in the southern US state. It quickly became the butt of controversy, flushing out critics who wasted no time attacking the new title." The town's mayor is called Luge Hardman.
  19. Aye lad, (I'm a soft Southerner by the way)...
  20. Great song but the phrase was definitely not coined by Alex Turner. Go to Sheffield or Leeds you'll hear it soon enough, often from the mouths of sulky Northeners who've never listened to the Arctic Monkeys: "When I were a lad" types. Aye lad It's grim oop North.
  21. Dzsavid being Dzsavid. I do quite like the more Iggy like version of the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HajY8zzT4yw
  22. John Peel's favourite song of all time (Teenage Kicks). Seek out the documentary. It's great. I do believe it's on YouTube.
