I cannot agree more. Your max HR is similar to a vehicle's max RPM. Some cars have bigger engines (larger heart ventricle) but lower max RPM. Others can rev high but not much happens (Honda Civic? OK, just an example, forget about that, rather say RunX! No harm meant, I love you all.) Throw in something called fuel efficiency (oxygen uptake), and it is the combination of the biggest engine with highest RPM with best fuel efficiency that normally performs better over a longer distance. Unless you add some NOS (EPO). Then you need to use a dynamometer to measure the bigger power... but it can sieze your engine (stroke, heart attack). Not sure if mag rim size (26' or 29') means anything! It's all nonsense... Ag just forget all this and ride the bike!

I used to get that with a cleaned chain that was not properly lubed. You would swear that the clicks come from the BB or pedals, as you feel the click through the pedal. On second thought, check for a bent chain link as well.
