  1. 600 grams is a lot if your current bike is already at 9kg. And considering what people would pay for the advantages of the RS1 above the SID (for example)... or the amount people spend on a Single-speed rigid MTB, it becomes less ridiculous. That said, I won't buy it myself. But just imagine the mean marathon machines pro-teams (or people who have enough money) could create with this...
  2. Also went to the IMAX for the first time in what... 10 years!? Even with Vitality its quite expensive....but defs worth it!!
  3. Always good the see the pro's on our local tracks

  5. I was wondering, how do you guys cope with hydration? On a normal training day 7~12 km I don't bother with hydration, with longer-runs / races I usually take some water / gels with. Now the problem is, I'm really afraid of stitches. I ran a 2h30 race yesterday where I drank about 250 ml of fluid in total. Is this normal? Keep in mind that I haven't really done 3h+ races where hydration becomes crucial...
  6. That gives it some perspective! Hopefully I can sell my near-f****d mint-condition derailleur and shifter to contribute towards the set

  9. Well its supposed to be a riser stem...
  10. Posted the bike at last. After crashing into a stationary car, my dad had to replace his beloved Peugot frame with this Cadex CF frame. The components of this build is therefore mix-and-match combination of various old and new (more of the former). This is currently my commuter / road-bike. Since I spend 95% of the time in the mountains, this bike doesn't always get the TLC she deserves. http://i.imgur.com/gdaZmQx.jpg (Giant) Cadex CFR - frame circa 1992. Campy Wheels. Shimano 105 Groupset (Handlebar shifters). Zefal top-tube-mounted pump.
  11. Have you Hubbers heard of the Table Mountain FKT? Its a 16km route over Table Mountain with some 1200m of climbing! If you like trail mountain running, excellent scenery and extreme amounts of pain I would highly recommend this. I completed my first attempt two days ago and I still can't walk normal. Up till now I've never done more than 15km or more than 500m of climbing, so this was quite hectic! But, I'll be back to do it again! http://rbfkt.clickshape.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/ryanclimbing.jpgPro-athlete, Ryan Sandes promoting the Table Mountain FKT challenge. http://image1.redbull.com/rbcom/010/2015-03-27/1331713658657_3/0010/1/1200/800/3/sandes-plays-in-his-version-of-a-backyard-sandbox.jpg http://image2.redbull.com/rbcom/010/2015-03-27/1331713658121_2/0010/1/800/533/2/ryan-sandes-sets-an-fkt-on-table-mountian.jpg Edit: more photos!

  13. YES. I will be shark-finning it on my dérailleur cogs and cassette till it comes out!
  14. Off the WannaB website. Can't seem to find a route all the way to SSWest. I'm new to the club so still exploring their routes.
  15. Yes the story had its flaws and the sci-fi aspects may not have been anything more special than 2001... BUT, in terms of special effects, few people come close to Nolan.
  16. Yep, these chunkies tjank easily. Had a fall last year understeering uphill in a switchback. It started as small tear on the outside but I soon realised the damn thing was getting bigger and bigger. I tried to tape it at first but that also kept coming of. It didn't take to long before I started to search teh interwebs for those R199 "specials"... Until I realised, treat the grips like you would treat a human: AMPUTATION. Just cut off / shorten the grips 1 cm (or just past where the tear ends). For symmetrical reasons do this to the healthy grip as well. My handicapped grips have given me 8 months of handicapped use and still going strong...
  17. I see CWCycles sells the new ESI XC Fit grips. The normal ones is already 'spensive enough as it is...has anyone tried these new ones?
  18. eh, this game is frustrating!
  19. Apparently my order is neither Parcelforce nor Royal Mail. So no tracking options available. Guess I'll just have to annoy the sh** out of the Mail Hub Call Centres...
  20. Was this the standard delivery AKA cheapest option? I ordered late Jan (26/01/2015). Got a CRC156538**** order number, but its not registered on any services. All it says on CRC's website is "Shipped". Also, wherI find the number of the Cape Mail Hub? 'appreciated
  21. XCE looks like fun, but it almost looks as if everything depends on the first 5 seconds from the start. I didn't see a lot of space for overtaking
  22. On the topic of moonbags... I'm also in need of some Hubbers-Assistance™ I'm looking for something specific: For Triathlons: Can be used as a race-belt (attach race number to the belt. dedicated racebelt straps is not a must though) - for triathlonsFor Strava! Enough space for a phone and keys...and a small energy snack maybe. For Cycling... now bare with me - I have a pocketless, time-trial-ish, cycling skinsuit. I got it as a present, but I need pockets (not saddlebags) for my phone and stuff. To be worn underneath the suit... I mostly do mid-distances (around 10 km), so I'm not looking for the water-bottle types. I'm currently looking at the Cape Storm (R160) and Nathan Gel Pak (R300). Can any body spare me 2 cents?
