I'm running the new American Classic rims with Hutchinson tyres . Rims are local tyres are from Wiggle . Ride quality is easily equivalent to my Firecrest Zipp's but the wheel set is 500 grams lighter . My other set is 404 clinchers

Also check out the top of the pop wheels from the Ritchey carbon range , a little more exotic with some proper back up in RSA . If you spending good money you may as well have the support '

Sounds like my experience when I rode Trek bikes , I had the new colour every year . Gone the Santa Cruz route and now I still have the old colour from 3 years ago .

No way it's the gears , the granny with the 32 is pretty much what a 2by10 will give u with a 26/36 . Or close as dammit . Also double check your cleats , could also be a issue

If you are planning to make money off this you need to cater for the masses not 20 regulars . The harder you make it ,the smaller the clientele . If you want people to bring family and friends they are the market that will help pay the bills so I guess it depends on what you want from this . The tougher riding seems to encourage initial support but does not sustain the bike park , chat to Wendal Bole he has a mix of very tough stuff and some easier riding , might be worth a call .

Why would you want to spoil your ride with earphones , they should be held liable for a moer of a fine at prize giving ! Maybe cover the bar bill for the evening ....... Or even better start the last day 15min after the last group had already left .

This is gonna set you back a bit , The SRAM rise wheels compatable with 11 speed with set you back 18k at retail and the groupo 13k ( This will exclude brakes) so add 5k for world cup or R1's . So 36 and now we only need a frame and bars and stem and grips and seat post and and and .

I have a set ,use them everyday with regular short stints on dirt roads , no problems . Fantastic wheels , they hubs are super smooth and I like the noise .

Glad you are oaky dude , a friend of mine had a a total failure on his brand new Trek Superfly 100, this happened 20 min into his first ride .The down tube delamanited and pulled out of the BB and BANG he was on the floor . I hope this is a once off incident . I guess you can't trust mass production anymore ........
