  1. It's great, I am also still loving my 3... and now we can upgrade to Fenix 5's in a couple months on the cheap because it will be outdated and all that
  2. The definition of the low ball offer is impossible to clarify, and the whole concept rife for a abuse, so it simply won't work... That said, I must say in some regards I do agree with the sentiments of the OP: I do miss the good old days when hubbers were more personal/friendly in their approach and negotiations - they at least dropped in a little foreplay and gave you some sad story about their dog dying and the funeral costs being the real reason for their low ball offer. Now these cheap thrill one liner offers are the order of the day, impersonal randoms unfortunately are part and parcel of any sale - they're no doubt bargain hunters, many quite possibly not even cyclists, snuffing out the majority of bargains on the hub... they don't particularly bother me, but I also don't feel obliged to even respond to their offers. I did also miss out on a bargain to a dealer here the other day... great road bike at a price that seriously had my interest, despite me not really being in the market... day I wanted to make contact, the bike is gone... only to re-appear a day later from a certain second hand site at R4k more. It is what it is, things change... I guess in some ways the Bikehub is a victim of it's own success
  3. I've just given the OP a negative rating for over pricing items and not posting better pictures...
  4. I think in a year or two he's going to be absolute top drawer, but he's definitely still got a few mistakes in him. In the Copa he was brilliant against Messi - kept him incredibly quiet. Would love to know what the issue is with Vertonghen, him and Toby are still one of the best CB pairings around... Lots of discontent in the dressing room from the sound of things - 3 of our best seemingly on their way out of the club in the next year... going to be hard not to go backwards at least a little. My biggest worry is the lack of craft in our midfield - there's not service to the front guys unless Eriksen is on the park, and that's if he's even bothered to make it happen Sad its come to this, but also, it's just one game and maybe everyone is reading too much into everything... Time will tell I guess, but it will be sad if this little 'project' has peaked
  5. I think it's both personally... It's not R300 for this set ever, so you're not getting 33% discount and yes you can get an even bigger set with 50% more cups and balls from the Crazy Store for less than half this super discounted price... http://www.crazystore.co.za/products/kitchen-bar/bar-accessories/beer-pong-drinking-game?refpage=2&refdocid=18358
  6. These guys have been pointed out before... That RRP, is basically the most expensive you will ever find it online, so the discount always looks about 20% more than it actually is. You do get some great deals from time to time, but a lot of it all is smoke and mirrors Know your prices
  7. I'm no expert, but you'd probably want to kick off with some decent cushioning - your joints and bones will thank you for it while transitioning into becoming a runner... Something like Asics Nimbus, Nike Pegasus, New Balance, Hokas will be a pretty safe start. Go to a proper running store though to get assessed... finding out if you need neutrals, stability or pronate shoes is an important first step. Take your current shoes with as well so they can analyse wear. Then as you become a bit more comfortable out there and maybe shed a few kgs, you could start looking at the more racier lighter shoes... that's definitely not my realm though Good luck. PS: Shoes are expensive unfortunately, but can also pale in comparison to the cost of getting injuries fixed
  8. I'd actually back Frank to succeed... he's a winner. I've never liked him, as a Spurs fan he was far too good and far too much of a pain in the arse for far too long - he's a model professional though always had that extreme determination that sets him apart, and I have no doubt will pour himself into management like he did his football. This was a baptism of fire for sure, but I reckon he will adapt and learn fast on the job. And he'll also be given just that little bit more leeway than your average Chelsea manager... Chelsea have nothing to lose and expectations have probably never been lower. Will be interesting to see how this all unfolds
  9. Grants an old school mate of mine... since he had a little one, his early morning runs all pop up as night runs because the freak heads out sometimes before 3am for his runs. Even sprinting I don't think I can break these guys average running speed splits... well done to you. Minor victories, but they all count
  10. City and Liverpool still the benchmark... I don't see Liverpool being as good this year though and City might even be better... scary thought! For Spurs, a lot will depend on how the new players settle in... Lo Celso will be pretty crucial as he's the player in the 'Eriksen' mould that will hopefully be unlocking defenses and scoring from midfield. I do worry who might still leave in the European window. We are short Ali and Son at the moment too, so we've definitely got a bit of depth to us now. Was very happy to see KWP have a good game at RB, as that's a worrying position for the team. Villa actually looked pretty good, they've got some pace on the counter and look pretty solid at the back... which is usually a good thing for promoted teams. I hope they have a good season - nice old traditional club with a heap of history. They just learnt a very simple lesson, in that you cannot give top players even a sniff, as they will punish you. Arsenal, time will tell, but I still think they'll concede too many goals and have too many luxury players who don't put in a shift Man Utd looked good, but I'm still not convinced they'll cope with the better teams in most areas. Still relying on individuals over the team as a whole. Chelsea, actually looked okay until it all unraveled... steep learning curve for a young team and a young manager. Zouma for me has never looked like top drawer - he's a bit in the Micah Richards mould, plenty promise, but disappointing in reality. Can't help but wonder how much time Frank will actually be given... Hazard was papering over the cracks of what is not the greatest squad around. As always, I look at who the top 3 would want in their squads, and I don't see too many players. Maybe 3-4, but lots of mediocrity in there too...
  11. Any feedback on the Old Eds race? Things went pretty smooth from our side, but always keen to get input and see where we can perhaps improve... Looking forward to Wanderers, always nicer to be running Even if very slowly
  12. Out of interest, do you know what the top guys strats were? Speedier with more rest, or slow and steady and using the full hours... ?
  13. Sad Panda, would of been a cracking signing
  14. I thought they were trying to solidify their defence?
  15. Dybala to Spurs, Icardi to Juve, Mandzukic to Utd?
  16. Like City needed any more attacking threat! The bit of have seen of him he looks class... and no doubt Pep will probably make him even better. Dybala to Spurs deal still charging on from the look of things... I don't want to get too excited, especially with this rumored Image rights deal, but he'd be a great signing and good value at 65million in this crazy market. If he comes I am pretty certain Eriksen is leaving though... he'll leave a big whole, but between these new recruits we might even be better off. Just 10hours of the madness to go
  17. Silly season in full flow... we were signing Dybala and Coutinho this morning What I will say, is if Man Utd are put off by Dybals's demands, I absolutely cannot see us getting him. And if Coutinho comes, that means Eriksen is going. Not much changing there... Do wish our chairman would back Poch a bit more, but I guess I'll just keep my eyes closed and see what the squad looks like at the end of tomorrow. Then of course there is the worry of who extra might still be pilfered by the rest of Europe before their windows close...
  18. Haha... thanks, appreciated
  19. My mates very eager to sell now... price dropped to R7k Should go fast now I would suspect https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/368215-orange-on-one-inbred-medium-ss-bargain/
  20. On paper, current athletes should generally be the best or on par with the best... I'm not sure it's an obvious sign of doping. Of course they could, and many are quite possibly doping. Most sports anti-doping measures are pretty Mickey Mouse compared to cycling. The big problem in many sports was in the past, where they had free reign and set records that 'clean' athletes will struggle to ever get near. Just scroll through the women athletics records and compare them to current times... not sure how you undo history though
  21. Yip... great watch that smashes all the 'basics' out the park. It might not have some of the fancy bells and whistles of the Fenix range, but for 99% of people, it's plenty enough watch. I missed mine for a long time after moving to the Fenix 3. Only worry I would check on is the compatibility with Movescount app and link through to Discovery if that is important to you - I know there have been some hiccups with Suunto in this regard in the past
  22. For the Bose fanboys... not too sure how good a deal this is, ODO often inflate the discounts, but might still well be worth a look https://www.onedayonly.co.za/bose-noise-cancelling-headphones-12.html
  23. Sniper shot me about 6 times... was cramping in places I never knew existed. It was pretty embarrassing stuff... guys pushing zimmer frames where flying past me. Was one of those times when you're ticking down the km's, knowing your legs are finished, but you're just hoping they can somehow hold on... tick, tick, booooooooom
