Bonitas, Airgas & MTN Quebeka all working hard on the front to close down potential breakaways... I can't see this stage going any way other than a mass sprint finish.

At 40km/h, they will pull in at 14:00. Try get there by 13:30 to be safe though.
  3. Not to hijack this thread, but how good (or bad) are the cheaper TacX trainers such as the Blue Matic? http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/tacx-t2650-blue-matic-trainer

I can't believe a Pro Tour team hasn't snatched him up yet. If I remember correctly, he signed a new contract with MTN Quebeka at the end of 2013. Not sure how long its for though?

For sure hey! Infact MTN Quebeka were so confident that earlier in the stage they let a three man breakaway go two minutes up the rode even though it had two Bonites riders in it.

2nd Merhawi Kudus, 3rd Daniel Teklehaimanot... Clean sweep on the podium for MTN Quebeka!

As far as I can see, Van Rensburg was in the second group around a minute down. He should keep yellow as he was 1:52 ahead after at the beginning of the day.
  9. Agree with this post... I swear by my bio though after she literally did wonders for an injured knee.

    Warranty

Mmm, I guess its down to the circumstance... I had a bad experience with Giant (Dragon Sports) a year ago but then again I've heard they are generally meant to be good with warranties. Cannondale I've heard a lot of good things about.
  11. So we were wondering why the Mercedes GP car was so fast? Apparently its all about the turbo... Watch this! http://flip.it/Fb0Ju

And Louis Meintjies wins stage 2!

With 1km on the final climb it was Meintjes (MTN) leading, Kudus, JvRensburg (MTN) +40"; Carthy (RCJ), Girdlestone (BON), Buchmann (RNR), Teklehhaimanot (MTN) +45"
  14. Yes yes! Thats a great idea!!!
  15. I sure hope they change this rule before SA Champs next year or else I'm going to have to hide a kg of weights under my saddle
  16. Eek sorry Chukky!

By the way, I find it sad how a thread regarding fake bikes gets about a hundred times more traffic than a thread on the biggest pro bicycle race in the country. I guess humans are just wired to love sensationalism... hence the negative rubbish on the front page of newspapers, Back on topic though, I am really glad to see the growth of the Mzansi Tour since last year!

Nothing like a mountain top finish... Will Louis Meintjies be given free reigns to attack or will he have to support his team mate in yellow?
  19. I know one of the managers yes, but as they say, 'the proof is in the pudding' and the service I received here on a recent issue was FAR superior than the previous East Rand (Kempton) shop I used to use. But to show that I'm not just punting Ridgeway because of Chunky's conspiracy theory regarding my connection to them, I'll also say that Complete Cyclist in Bryanston have given me fantastic service of late and I think they are by far the best LBS in the North! Sadly for every shop giving out great service like Ridgeway and Complete Cyclist, they are many more who are dishing out rubbish customer service and bike servicing.
  20. I actually got my hands on a demo version this weekend past, The features are superb!

So the fact that Louis Meintjies "favorited" my below tweet means he is feeling confident right? Louis favorited your Tweet 2h: Good luck to everyone taking part in the @Mzansi_Tour this week. For what its worth, my money in on @LouisMeintjes taking the yellow jersey.

Sounds good to me... COME ON Louis and the boys in yellow black with a touch of yellow.

I don't think Bonitas will be strong enough as a team to carry one of their riders to a GC victory. Individual stage victories could definitely be on the cards for them though.
  24. Doing the same! The legs will be screaming after the Crit, thats for sure

How much climbing is there between now and Saturdays Criterium finish? Here's hoping Louis Meintjies can put in some good attacks!
