  1. So unless Pogacar does something stupid or explodes he looks likely to hold onto yellow until Paris, he's managed to stay out of the carnage that a good few of the contenders have been caught up in, his luck, so far. At the moment it looks like the rest are riding for a podium place except that yesterday Vingegaard puts his hand up and suddenly there's a glimmer of light. I don't believe Pogacar was holding back on the climb yesterday, his effort to take a pointless 4th place at the end sprint showed that. How do the other teams react to this? Clearly the Ineos method that worked well in the past is shot to hell now.
  2. All the sprinters are chasing DQ. Let them do the work and give Tim Declercq the day off.
  3. An honest question here. Would it not make sense for EFF, Jumbo or Ineos, or all three to combine their efforts, to put pressure on UAE today by trying to get their leaders into a breakaway? Lots more work and probably will not succeed but worth a try? How vulnerable are UAE at the moment? There is only one more mountain top finish left so trying to get away from TP when he can recover time on a descent will probably not work.
  4. I swear I scoured the results sheet from yesterdays stage and unless I'm blind I cannot see it written anywhere that Cavendish cheated. The amount of time would be YouTube subscriber hunters are devoting to the analysis of yesterdays stage is amazing, lines in the road, cracks in the road!! He won, the organisers said he won, let's move on. 32 wins and there are still doubters, most pro's would give their left nut for 1. O.K. some gave up a bit more!
  5. No. Will still be riding for Israel Start-Up for a while. https://www.cyclist.co.uk/news/8424/israel-start-up-nation-confirm-signing-of-chris-froome-on-long-term-deal
  6. That face looks like it's smiling but those eyes are saying, "HTF am I going to sit on my bike for the next 18 days" I'm not so sure that this is his year but if he wins I'm a fan for the rest of his career. If Cav wins another stage I'll drop some dog food at the local SPCA, if he makes it to Paris I'll go back with some more and if he wins the green jersey I'll need to take the bakkie. I've always been a fan but even I thought he was done, he's had some luck this season with DQ picking him up and Sam Bennett having a brain fade moment but sometimes that's all you need. That Patrick Lefevere sure runs a great team and right now JAF must fancy his chances to take yellow to Paris!
  7. I think she was last seen on a KZN south coast beach trying to scoop up sardines with her picnic basket!

  14. I'll se your Sonny and raise you a Winner Anacona.
  15. Correct. They had 3 potential leaders in the team, Froome, Bernal and Thomas, one too many. Brailsford went with Bernal and Thomas. Good decision as it turns out for Ineos. It's June and there are lots of riders in the mix for the Tour but a lot can happen between now and the end of July as we always see. If Froome is sandbagging he will need to change his game plan as ISN will not be able to offer the support he had but he showed in the 80km Giro break that he can, lets see what July brings. We love a comeback story.
  16. 3.25 behind the winner today so not good for Froome. Doubt he needs any advice on training. He needs a time machine. Ineos got rid of him so that tells me something. Froome was good, maybe he will come good again.
  17. I have one. Energiser lasts a long time, Nemtek is a very good brand, developed in SA. Stainless steel wires will last but initial outlay is expensive. Get a professional to install. Keep the garden from growing all over the wires.
  18. I have a 55 lt National Luna. Just the wife and I now and if we go away for 4 days we take a cooler box as well. Ours has two separate compartments which can operate together or as a fridge freezer combo. Works well with the separate battery system in the vehicle so we can leave it there. A bigger fridge would take up boot space but would work well in a trailer/caravan.
