What ever happened to good manners and a smattering of decency? I have little doubt that QS can afford a phone call at the very least! If any rider has earned the right to a phone call he has. And, on another point, these teams expect riders to use their social media accounts to promote the good news.

Not sure I can agree with the decision to leave Cav out of the team, could have generated a lot of interest to the normally mundane sprint stages. He got a lot of coverage for the team last year and it's not like he doesn't have the form this year.

I agree with the above and I too moved away from the forum when the changes happened except to keep an eye on the classifieds. I eventually found the exact bike I hade been keeping an eye out for after 4 years! I got exactly what I was looking for thanks to the service offered here, as did the seller, we were both happy with the deal. With the advent of interweb forums you were able to share information about your chosen hobbies/interests with a very wide range of individuals from all corners of the globe, fantastic. A lot of these forums then added a section for non specific topics which had absolutely nothing to do with the actual forum, then things started going south and I can only imagine that the many forum owners started to hate the beasts they had created. I like the new Bikehub, it's cycling related. Want to vent about the war in Ukraine? Go somewhere else, I'm here for the cycling and the very experienced opinions offered by interested members. Perhaps the members using the classifieds need to learn how to do some research into the product that they are looking to buy, start thinking for themselves like old gits like me had to do before the internet came along.

I kept bees until a few years ago and my experience, whilst limited, lead me to know that if you open a hive when there is not enough honey or flowering plants in the area for the bees to produce honey they get a little touchy! I can only guess that this as well as reduced daylight hours put the bees under stress. Anything that cannot get away will be stung. Your husband is a very luck man, well done to the people that assisted.

@the nerdI had a look at that machine in Cape Town, looked a bit overpriced considering the work needed but what do I know about 2nd hand machines. I'm keen to upgrade to one of these, is there a specific site I can look at to find a 2nd hand machine or would it be a better idea to buy new?

Living in Auckland means that you get into your car wet more than you would like to, seat protectors would be an investment in your peace of mind as well as the future resale value of your car. Bike carrier used 6 times a year is an indulgence but so are hobbies, and you could resell them once you sell the car. Lets be honest, nobody ever said "I'm planning on saving some cash by buying a bicycle"

For example the make up of the 10 000 m Olympic podium places from 1912 to 1952 were all Europeans, the first African made the podium in 1964.
