  1. What route?
  2. Upgrading will land you with a bike you want to own, not all ready deals will be exactly what you want and you will then end up with having to change parts anyway
  3. IMHO having a couple of extra gears will make less difference than upgrading shock or getting a better set of wheels.
  4. Dual suspension will be more comfortable, i rode route 66 this year on a hardyail, i really wish i had ridden a dually
  5. Procycles in Benoni also do in house repairs 011 425 2007 speak to Max
  6. Sapo vs courier... Do really need to comment
  7. Also bear in mind that we have just had 4 short weeks in a row, slowing sort times at the post office, if you want faster delivery, ask for the guy to send in a speed services bag(if within the size/weight limit) for R75 Otherwise patience is a virtue.
  8. I followed the video and had no problems
  9. Road or mtb for components?
  10. Benoni Country Club
  11. I was also happy to spend the time, until i got stabbed in the back(sounds very bitter doesnt it) Will think twice before sacrificing any of my training time for anyone again
  12. I tried the "cycling is time together" suppose it all depends on your future plans.... Held me back terribly in my personal goals for cycling(lost 2 good years of hard training)...
  13. Have one for you good sir, just have to come get it
  14. I have 3 that i rarely use, where are you situated (on phone atm)
  15. Having ridden with a weaker partner for a long time, I can honestly tell you that you are pretty much stuffed, only sensible solution is to get a group of coupled and let the stronger riders ride together(challenging each other) and let the weaker partners ride at a slower pace.... Must organise for you guys to come ride with my group sometime
  16. Lol my home made bleed kit consisted of two new syringes and some plumbers tape, brakes were stripped, all seals replaced and fresh dot 4 bled through, on the second day(left over night to settle) the air was removed and brakes are now perfect
  17. I put dot 4 in my juicys and they seems to be fine
  18. From a discussion i had with a bike shop, with Shimano you have to buy replacement levers Edit : spelling
  19. Check the classifieds, will get a hgher spec(a year or two old) well within your budget, new will be entry level
  20. The truth always comes out
  21. Tell him what? Geez dude, take a chill pill, just making a suggestion that she should really make a plan to master the art of removing a tyre from a rim
  22. I think it may be time for her to sit and try changing a tyre a few times at home, unfortunately punctures are a part of cycling, women want equality, and should be able to do basic maintenance(very basic), like tyre change, chain repair, etc No excuse that a woman cannot do it, and seriously, if she wants to ride alone, she should have mastered the basics by now, otherwise she is tempting fate. Just for the record, i have stopped to help many times.
  23. Will post a pic of my light setup tomorrow.... Works pretty well
