  2. My girlfriend returned from the US on Sunday and brought me this along with a cap and matching socks as a surprise...I'm usually a small though and this is an extra small so a lucky someone might get a great shirt if i decide its that bit too small...
  3. Did JOC build this bike for you? I'm sure I saw it on the stand when I collected my new build a few months back. Remember thinking holly hell now that's how you drop some serious cash with style, not just go and buy a Specialized or some other name brand! Excellent taste ol chap!
  4. BikePlus In Constantia sells Lake...not cheap though...
  5. Bought these bibs off a fellow huber yesterday. He had bought the wrong size from Aus. Go have a look at the rest of their kit at www.maap.cc, seriously awesome stuff. We need small boutique brands like this in SA.
  6. Thanks for all the great input guys, I'm going tomorrow to the showroom to check it out. See you there Richard ;-)
  7. Has anyone tried Enjoy Fitness cycling kit? They have some great designs and just wondering what the quality is like? any idea of what the ladies bibs are like as I might get my gf a pair. Going to their showroom in town later this week so will report back if anyone is interested. Lyle

  9. I'm sure all the weekend warriors with really deep pockets are busy working out how much closer this will get them to a sub-3 argus... haha
  10. Finally, after some tense days wondering if I would ever find the right bb, headset bearings etc John O'connor Cycles called me today to say my build was complete. Let me know what you think.
  11. The final part for my new bike. Specialized Power saddle. Anyone used one before?
  12. Most of the bits are ready to go onto my frame I posted earlier on this thread. Now just waiting on group set and wheels.
  13. Ordered and just waiting for the shipment. I've bought everything except for the pedals. going to be putting them on a Cervelo R3 SL. Now just looking for the trimmings. Does anyone have any suggestions for tyres? The wheels are tubeless but not sure if I should just stick to tyres and tubes or go tubeless.
  14. Flip Thanks! Im sorry I never saw this!
  15. I looked on CWC, Ultegra is R11 500, I am saving haha
  16. Just bought this (2011 model but never built up) from Olympic cycles for a pretty good deal (I Think). Going to build it up with Ultegra 11spd, Ultegra wheels and maybe Ritchey components. Hoping to get it under 7Kgs...Any suggestions on the build? My budget for all parts is 20K. I can get the groupset for 10k, wheels for just under 5K so that leaves another 5k for seatpost, stem, bars, extras and build.
  17. Yes but why would you want to use your medical savings for stuff like that. Then later when you want to go to the doc you have to pay out of pocket. Rather just get your healthy gear card, do the tests so you get your 25% back from Sportsmans Warehouse (they are taking the place of Adidas as a cash back partner from the beginning of the year)and you'll be getting back more than R700 if you go buy a high end Garmin or Polar. My opinion at least.
  18. All three school boys in the foreground of the pic are on 100k Epics....wish my dad had bought me one of those in school! haha
  19. They did the same for me when one of the lugs that hold the bottle cage in came out of the frame. dropped it off at the LBS and within two days I had a brand new frame. Awesome service! Cant wait to see their 2015 road bikes in stores soon!

  22. To get back on topic....Depending on where you live why not take up canoeing/paddling/surfski paddling. I swim and paddle and personally I would prefer doing paddling as its way more social and you not left starring at a line in a pool for an hour!
  23. Ok so I'm thinking of getting a R5 SL lookalike, carbon seatpost, handlebar and some 30mm carbon clinchers...where is the best place to get all of this and how do I go about doing it?
