I think Cuddles will try something on the hills today. Yesterdays stage wasn't big eough, need a climb finish and you should see him give it a go. Waiting eagerly for this afternoon.

It's interesting to see when people talk about Wiggins they mention it is sill a long way to Paris...the same applies to Froome. He hasn't had the same exposure as Wiggins, so maybe he's not number one in the team for a reason? I personally don't like Wiggins and will root for Froome all the way. I'm praying he has what it takes to get to the end in the same or better shape than he is now. Then we will know for sure what he is made of and what the future holds. Nice to have someone so close to home doing so well. Everyone who has really made it in cycling has made it by moving outside RSA. You will not get anywhere if you stay here.

It's actually funny as last year I felt exactly the same as you guys. But in one sense how will this change the tour? Only sprinters interested in the green jersey would do the tour, especially with olympics so close.

I think you are being a bit short-sighted here. You sit on your chair watching these guys having no clue what their bodies really go through. We have enough issues with drugs already than to make it harder and all the sprinters have to drag themselves over the mountains to earn their stage win. How are they then going to present medals...all at the end (Yawn)?

How can you even compare Armstrong and Cavendish?? I must admit, Cavendish has only now finally earned my resepct as a sprinter. Took him a long time to learn to sprint without his "train".

Agh Suikerbos is great training for the Jock but the Jock in some senses isn't as steep so seems easier. My little opinion. But if you aren't fit, both will hurt like hell

After reading the criteria it seems like 90% is based on performance...don't make sense to me. They put in that little bit of teamwork to cover their choices i think. Why choose some who's somewhere over 300 in UCI ranking over 98th ranked?? The point isn't whether we have a chance to podium but who should be going to give us the best chance to podium. I'm really not knocking the people who were chosen but just feel that something is going on under the covers that we don't know about and someone is being slighted who should be going.

I jut cannot Wheelie, no matter what. And the bunny hopping isn't really happening so well either. I'm ok on most technical stuff but my problem is trying to do it at speed. Got the hill starts though

I agree with Mallo. I knew they wouldn't just change the selection, how do you tell someone who was selected that sorry they now can't go?? They are just screwing their chance of a medal, stupid idiots. I have never ever seen Cherise as a none team member and yet they make her out to be like that. Just to let you know that we are behind you Cherise and rooting for your court case . It's a tough one to fight because if 6 ladies made the criteria and you can send only 3. Even though you are second in ranking the others still made criteria?? In my opinion, time to go ride overseas and get your real worth.

On a TT bike...MAYBE White

In my opinion if you want the best mountains that would be Sabie area. You can climb for hours. But as mentioned it is likely to be vey wet and muddy so as long as you don't mind the mud you'll enjoy it the most. Can go do some game seeing at the Kruger Park as well. This area is also a very big tourist attraction. I'd say your best bet is between Cape Town and Sabie, but if hills is what you want, Sabie is the place.

From what I'm hearing this is a once in a lifetime offer for Epic. You can always do J2C the next year?? If it is a choice between money for one or the other I'd take J2C but if yo know you can do J2c the year after I don't see the dilemma. Maybe tell us the full story to help you decide?

If it is your only chance of doing Epic, maybe you should take the opportunity?? If I had someone sponsoring me, i'd do epic.

Amoryn, I know you like bragging status but in all honesty from all the people who I know who have done both, you will regret not doing Jo'burg 2C.

Has no one actually made any comment yet on the female selection for the olympics??
