  1. After a few runarounds I finally got to some Eurosport 1 and 2 channels. It's only live TV though. Any way we can watch anything non-live on demand or do we have to wait for the reruns? Kodi newbie here.

  2. My subscription ends on 14th. I have looked into the option of paying for Eurosport via paypal, but you still need to link a US card or bank account otherwise the payment is geo-blocked. The only other way I think it could work, is to use two paypal accounts: one to pay a balance in USD to the other and use the paypal balance to pay for subscription. What a schlep.

That said, if the solution is Eurosport, that's not terrible... IIRC, that will bring the Olympics (I hope) into my home as well as Le Mans 24hr. All I need to figure out is how to pay for it.

Try Paypal. I would still like to see if it works. But will do after 19 Dec.

I have no frame of reference, but would the pros be completely rested for the XCO after the XCC? At that level of their fitness are they able to rest that quickly?

Yes. Recovery rate is so quick due to their conditioning. They would have most likely done intervals anyway.

Well then that’s a bold statement to make by naming an actual brand/product without the offering of any proof. There are also no hearing docs on any of the four case that I could see, so if contamination was a concern, why not exercise the right to a hearing.
There is no way there is 3-4 steroid contaminations in a single supplement. The one case say RAD140, which is in lifestyle supplements.

Sorry, but your posts are wildly open ended whilst throwing a brand under the bus. It’s almost as bad as CSA and Gauteng Cycling keeping quiet and just quietly editing documents over team announcements.

We have to find out from Instagram and BikeHub.

At least we got the notifications to an online SAIDS course from Gauteng Cycling, but not enough has been done to motivate riders to attend. Riders generally don’t think that they could be doping accidentally. Once we understand the risks, more will be aware of what they put in their bodies.

That is every single doping offender’s favourite line. “It was in my protein shake” “it was in my food”. Rubbish.

If it was in 32GI’s shakes, there would be way more cases across all sports. Do you really think that a brand is going to put banned substances for athletes in an atheletes recovery shake and ruin their reputation? I highly doubt it.

These offenders 99% know exactly what they are doing.

Yes. I refuse to use anything made by USN for  this reason.

Yes, USN even puts it on their website.

As from 1 January 2017 Oxilofrine (methylsynephrine), as contained in Advantra Z® and other Citrus Aurantium versions, is on the WADA prohibited substance list (sports banned substances). Please refrain from using products containing Advantra Z® if you are a professional athlete who gets tested by the Anti-doping Agency.

Supplements Can Present a Risk With Respect to Wada Regulated Athletes in Two Ways

    1. As the list of prohibited substances changes on a yearly basis, some supplements may contain ingredients which were previously allowed but are now prohibited. In addition, some less scrupulous manufacturers may inadequately or incorrectly label product ingredients, making it difficult for the athlete to identify safe products, even if they are aware of the WADA list.

    2. Contamination of a product:

By the use of ingredients which contain trace amounts of WADA prohibited substances

In the manufacturing process where traces of other products (which contain WADA prohibited substances) are manufactured in the same facility and find their way into another product.

@Red Bird What substance? There’s a whole bunch listed on the SAIDS link.

Not sure. I find it hard to believe all those substances came from the shake too. But, these powders rarely get tested, and not all substances are listed on the label, so, even well-known brands end up with these banned substances.

I hear a local Vet/Master XCO rider was caught recently? Does anyone have details. Just the rumour mill but where there is smoke!

Apparently the banned substance is in a recovery shake.

@Red Birdwhat vpn are you using? I've never had one. (Cast to my old 15year old TV via Chromecast). But I'm having the same issues with crappy quality.

I also need a vpn obviously to watch the tour later on. So need to figure out how to install one (and where to install it etc).

Any advice from anyone would be great. Thanks.

Gcn+ has such cool stuff on it. But it just sucks that it's so slow. Just like red bull when they started out 10 years ago.

I use Windscribe. Free to use. Various upgrade options available.

  10. So sorry to hear about this. That section has become more inhabited and filthy. No longer felt safe there.

Came across a guy under one of those bridges, looking ready to beat someone up with some metal object. Luckily we were two so he relaxed his stance once he realised he didn’t stand a good chance.

We started bypassing that section by getting off the trail on Peter Place, then turning left onto William Nicol, right onto Republic, left onto Garden road. That joins up with Jan Smuts (Old Parks on your left).

  11. The streaming issues started this year. Last year I could watch with no buffering, clear HD. Maybe as more subscribers joined their servers struggle with the traffic. Surely with even more subscribers due to the MTB this will have to be resolved.

I have been watching on a full HD TV, sometimes using my iPhone or laptop - all have the same issues. But, the bad quality seems to only affect the popular events.

  12. Has anyone had issues with efficiency mode on Zwift. The webview process (seen in task manager) goes into efficiency mode automatically which causes Zwift to crash. I have switched off all efficiency mode settings under the system and power settings on Windows and changed settings on Zwift to max power. Basically on best performance settings everywhere. But it still does not prevent efficiency mode.

    Any help and advice please.

Edit: running Windows 11 on 8GB RAM laptop

  13. Really enjoyed this ride. Tough one on the legs even though I sat in the bunch all the way. Started in last batch due to late entry. Happy that there were other stronger riders in the same boat that could stick together.

Also glad that we actually went through for the race. Arrived at 7:15. Unpacked and just rolled into the start chute ready to go at 7:27. 😅

Am I being a retard, or is super sport not broadcasting the short course not the downhill? Guess I'm gonna be watching on my iPad now then with Red Bull tv. Need to get a VPN set up before 5

windscribe set up. But which country to use to get red bull feed to work? Stays geoblocked if I choose US or UK server

I chose UK and USA. You get some free countries thrown in there too. Germany is one of them and it works for RedBull. 😁

Not sure. Last I checked you could stream GCN+ without a VPN - but then you need to pay for GCN+.

If it's really such an issue, just get a VPN. For the price of two cappucinos a month, it's not exactly unaffordable, and will improve your general streaming experience on whatever other platforms you choose.

I subscribed to GCN+ but most big races and grand tours can’t be viewed in South Africa, only highlights. I use Windscribe ($3 per month) as VPN to watch those races live.
