  1. Some news on the RS-1 and it having the Brain cartridge. All the bike at the moment are running the normal stock RS-1 and the Team riders will only might get the Brain RS-1 towards the end of the year as the whole cartridge has to be redesigned now that the fork is upside down (the wrong way round)
  2. Give cpt armpies mayhem a PM
  3. I have been luck enough to ride the previous eccentric pivot system and it's amazing.

On the bucket list this one. http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb11130554/p4pb11130554.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb11130552/p4pb11130552.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb11125079/p4pb11125079.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb11125076/p4pb11125076.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb11125068/p4pb11125068.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb10351077/p4pb10351077.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb10351075/p4pb10351075.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb10351067/p4pb10351067.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb9803604/p4pb9803604.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb9803606/p4pb9803606.jpg
  7. As stated in the ad: Replacement Sram X.0 derailleur hanger bolt. • Suitable for 06 - 07 only.
  8. Before you order one from the UK go to your LBS and ask them to strip one out a wrecked derailleur for you. We do it quite often.
  9. Are you sure about Active works not being able to do it? A friend on mine sent them his wired crank and they upgrade the internals to wireless for him and im sure it wasn't sent overseas.
  10. As far as I know, No Look pedals are serviceable in respect of replacing bearings. And the replacement kits come with new axle with the bearings pressed on already but they don't include the roller bearings, thats why they so costly. I have 2 sets and love them but they need regular tlc. I open mine up every few months by removing the axle and keen them out then chuck some bearing grease in the pedal make sure you get it down to the roller bearings at the bottom and then reassemble and you good to go. If your bearings are toast then sorry, it's new pedals.
  11. Not sure that is legal for TT? As one of the Cervelo S5 models isn't. It might be a Tri bike where the rules are more relaxed?
  12. Here is the whole build story and list. http://fairwheelbike...e-final-update/ As for all the bike nutz out there I think some of you might enjoy going through some of these build forum topics Here I thing gummi will like this. edit: wrong link Some samples: http://fairwheelbikes.com/c/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/jwolf_parlee_lw-960x638.jpg http://tillquist.dk/wp-content/gallery/bmc-tm01/dsc05179.jpg http://fairwheelbikes.com/c/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/crb5-960x720.jpg http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s269/Tillquist/Road%20bike/BH%20G6/DSC06570-new.jpg http://fairwheelbikes.com/c/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/crumpton_road_ib1-960x638.jpg http://fairwheelbikes.com/c/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/holland_ib1.jpg
  13. RIP. Condolences to his family and friends.
  14. Rotor have just released a new one. http://nyvelocity.com/files/u18/1X1E8790.jpg But for the Tour I see they are only running the non drive side. http://www.bikerumor.com/2014/07/09/new-rotor-power-lt-light-crankset-saves-weight-w-single-left-sided-sensor/comment-page-1/ http://brimages.bikeboardmedia.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/rotor-power-lt-left-sided-lightweight-power-meter-crankset1-600x450.jpg
  15. Looks like a handle off a pull chain?
  16. Actually the pro's won't be allowed to eat or drink because all food will gave been genetically modified or pumped full of hormones.
  17. At this rate in 10 years everything will be banned expect for nutrition provided by the uci.
  18. If you don't come right let me know. I do 90% of my training/riding between 4am-7am and do the occasional 5:30pm-7pm ride as well. My riding is probably split 50/50 Road/MTB and covers pretty much everything from world cup XC courses to 200km road rides. I do try to avoid riding in the rain tho.

    DC Team

the race is a team time trial.
  20. My advise, have a look for an OEM one from Wheels Manufacturing as they are available locally via Paragon Tech. or find a similar one and modify it with a dremel.
  21. My 2c Last year collar bone had to be done and both the surgeon and anesthetist both charged me 300% of medical aid rates and that was after asking for a discount prior to the opp and it wasn't an emergency. This probably has to do with only being on hospital plan, But hey there also have to make a living some how. Got gap cover now and it covers up to 500% of medical aid rates. As for expensive hospital visits just had a friend come out after surgery to remove cancer and then it got infected and so on and so forth, but the ICU bill alone came to 1.5 Million and that's without the 8 surgeries and everything associated with them.
  22. It is possible and there are a couple options. Cable options: http://images.gizmag.com/inline/duplexlever-2.jpg Cable V-brake or Disk but might not have adequate stopping power. http://www.gizmag.co...ke-lever/19515/ http://www.sjscycles...left-prod21413/ http://problemsolversbike.com/images/sized/files/blog/cabledoub2to1-305x407.jpg Same as above but you can use an original lever. http://problemsolver.../cable_doubler/ A combination of Cable and Hydraulic: http://cdn.hopetechnology.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/v_twin_main-587x692.jpg This is for converting Road STI's to hydraulic calpers for Cyclocross, but could be paired with one of the above MTB levers. http://www.hopetech....t/v-twin-brake/ http://www.trickstuf...oppelmoppel.php http://www.wiggle.co...disc-brake-kit/ Then there is the full Hydraulic set up: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5270/5565569475_e3daf96658_z.jpg This is possible using 2 normal hydraulic MTB brakes and I have done it so that it only required 1 finger for both levers. Getting the brake bias can be a pain in the a$$ but it can be done. http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/news/2012/03/30/1333118597549-13ikthuc5avh8-700-80.jpg Then there is the complete custom setup. http://www.bikeradar...one-hand-33596/
  23. Not sure on time lost due to the mechanical but when she came past us she was about 30mins off.
  24. The man was in a league of his own. Rode past us with a 3:30 lead and was just cruzing along. I think Sauser would have given him a run for the top step if he hadn't had a mechanical. Heard he lost 10mins
