  2. Eish. So what does that mean for me at 60kg.
  3. If you guys don't mind. What do you weigh?
  4. 2015 Mondraker Foxy RR
  5. Welcome to the HUB, Sorry to hear about your experience and you must have the patience of record per-portions. Sealant does corrode the nipples but only after a good few years. In all honesty (not being mean) the breaking spokes/nipples is not due to the sealant but down to your weight, in my opinion no OEM wheelset is up to the task of 120kg's. Having to pump up the tyres all the time is probably down to the tubeless conversion being done poorly.
  6. Where are you located?
  7. Huge respect. A couple things that I miss at that age: You closer to the ground so you don't fall as far. You made of rubber and just bounce. You brain hasn't made the link between crashing and pain (yet). I miss those days.
  8. look at the Sidi Mega range. http://www.sidisport.com/eng/scheda.php?macro=1&id=68&lng_riv=
  9. haha. Luckily for me going up it is a lot easier than it is for others.
  10. On second thought go have a chat to Travis and his Dad(name escapes me at the moment) at Howick Cycles as the bike has probably ended up in mpophomeni and sooner or later it will hopefully end up there needing something fixed.
  11. @#%@#%&^ Sorry to hear, not a good start to the week.
  12. Hey I know that switchback, and congrats on the photo you just about managed to get my house in the shot as well.
  13. If pink is stereotypically for girls, then I must have some gender confusion.
  14. As it happens I just so happened to be ridding the same race yet judging by your previous statements you and I were at opposite ends of field (you trying to finish and me fighting for podium positions) To the matter at hand, It you are in the same race and have started in the same batch then you are not required to move out the way (but it is the courteous thing to do) IMO. As for the stay left pass right well if both sides of the road are equal then fair enough, but the course is rougher than a bears a$$ so everyone is going to ride the smoothest line. As one who is generally the one catching and doing the passing when we join courses with the 40km & 20km. I see it as the faster riders duty to go around the slower rider and make them aware of the side you are passing on. If the slower rider decides to move over and let you pass on the smother track then it's a bonus and thank them. I do however have a problem with slower riders from the shorter distances riding 2 & 3 abreast when they know faster riders are going to be coming passed, especially when there is a group fighting for positions and doing double the speed, it can cause some hairy situations.
  15. A group of us had an interesting ride the other day. we were out for our +100km Saturday ride and due to where we live and the level we ride at we tend to know all the riders who are in the area at the same level. Now about 40kms in to our ride going at a fairly hard pace. suddenly we had a solo rider come flying passed going all out. We decided to give him a gap and see how he would do out front in the wind. A few kms later we saw a few nervous looks over the shoulder and we knew he was poked. We then rolled passed and he jumped in the back and we all had a good laugh about the last 10kms.
  16. I never said I made any of them. A friend of mine helped make some of them. (The ones that use Titanium).
  17. Not sure.
  18. That is 45cm of Pirate knife with a hand filed Ivory handle. Took 6 weeks to complete and costs +R12000.
  19. These are a few custom knives a friend helped make. Huge prices but then titanium and ivory are not cheep.

  25. I'm sure there was a thread awhile ago about this. At +R300 for the tool and each refill costing +R100 I"ll stick to the old methods.(+100 bucks to fix one puncture)
