  1. Good price for a great bike. I have one and its superb.
  2. Alu stumpy is R20k. Carbon stumpy with xt/x9 is R 26500. That being said, I would buy one of the Momsens.
  3. We had the same discussion last year. Decided to do the race this year, as I have done Tru Cape before and staying in Paarl there is no travelling. But they should reconsider those prices. You can go ride Welvanpas trails for R30 a day. Also if I remember correctly they gave no medals last year, instead giving that money to charity.
  4. Doing the 63. Route profile looks okay. Fairly flat. Please dont tell me its all sand or something.
  5. All good and well, but I sign up to race. not to sponsor development riders. I allready sponsor Songo.info. I entered your race, but you are competing with a race in Grabouw with awsome trails at less than half the price.
  6. I always said Vettel had it lucky with his car. Seems very true at this stage. Crybaby of note. Again not listening to team orders. He is not winning any fans. Other than that, quite enjoyed the race, expected the drs to be more effective on the long straights. Was not the case. Some good racing all round. Kimi Raikkonen should stick to eating ice creams, absolutely nowhere. Fernando drove a great race. Lewis superb. One thing is clear at this stage, Nico, Vettel and Kimi are being upstaged by their team mates. and it is clear for all to see.
  7. Ferrari, I mean Fernando , seems to have found some pace. Looked very good in fp 1 and 2. Very very good.
  8. Some of the best singletrack known to man. Seriously, you wil not be dissapointed.
  9. you are right, once a race becomes too popular it becomes a problem aswell. I will be hurting with you.
  10. Such a pity. Tru Cape is awsome. I am doing this one, entered.
  11. Congrats on the bike. I was hoping you would buy that one. Remember to post some pics. Enjoy.
  12. You should be able to do the 3 laps in under 2 hours easy.
  13. I love it. Very fast, only one climb. Nothing too technical.
  14. Did not even know about it.
  15. Are there any xco races which are not aimed at pros? I am asking because I would love to participate.
  16. Not as sexy as xx1. Not even close.
  17. Agreed. Happy to read a biased review for once. Stumpy 29er for the win.
  18. Did not get the greatest of reviews? Or am I wrong.
  19. Think it was a medium, tubeless etc etc. Still super light, imho.
  20. To be really really honest. I have never ever tried it. What worries me is the weight disadvantage? I ride mainly xc, non competitive. But also like to play once in a while, thats why I have the camber and not the Epic. But I also dont want a heavy bike when doing 50, 60km races. Keen to give it a try one day.
  21. Stumpy fsr is a lovely bike, I cant and wont argue that Sir.
  22. The Cambers are superb, however, stay away from the entry level ones. They are too heavy, I have my eye on the new S -works camber, they tested it and it weighed 10,46kg. That is with a dropper post and trail tyres. Thats just a little bit heavier than a s works epic. These things are xc racers one day, and trail bikes the next day.
  23. I am sorry but that makes no sense. The epic expert is R65k and comes with carbon wheels. Which is a massively expensive item. better still, shop around and get the marathon epic for under R70 000 with top spec parts and a much better frame, just one step below s works. Thats if you want a epic. Which I dont.
