  1. Did not get the greatest of reviews? Or am I wrong.
  2. Think it was a medium, tubeless etc etc. Still super light, imho.
  3. To be really really honest. I have never ever tried it. What worries me is the weight disadvantage? I ride mainly xc, non competitive. But also like to play once in a while, thats why I have the camber and not the Epic. But I also dont want a heavy bike when doing 50, 60km races. Keen to give it a try one day.
  4. Stumpy fsr is a lovely bike, I cant and wont argue that Sir.
  5. The Cambers are superb, however, stay away from the entry level ones. They are too heavy, I have my eye on the new S -works camber, they tested it and it weighed 10,46kg. That is with a dropper post and trail tyres. Thats just a little bit heavier than a s works epic. These things are xc racers one day, and trail bikes the next day.
  6. I am sorry but that makes no sense. The epic expert is R65k and comes with carbon wheels. Which is a massively expensive item. better still, shop around and get the marathon epic for under R70 000 with top spec parts and a much better frame, just one step below s works. Thats if you want a epic. Which I dont.
  7. Agree with you. Start with the 17km. Slowly work your way up. You wil have just as much fun, and get out of the house, and get a medal to show off to your friends later.
  8. Hahaha, please dude. Not every shop is a skelm. Bar code is legit.
  9. Very legit. Bought a Stumpjumper from them 3 months ago, a carbon model for less than the alu model was at the Spaz store. Flippen good shop.
  10. entered. On my doorstep so ja, same day as the Tru Cape race which is my absolute favourite, this will be better. Decided to support a race closer to home.
  11. Entered 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to this. No races last couple of weeks.
  12. Golefty, I would really like you to be right about Porsche. But I fear you may be wrong, Porsche are committed to Lemans now, just like Audi. When Audi was asked about possible F1 teams, they also use the Lemans excuse. Porsche also being part of the Vw, audi, Bugatti, Lamborghini etc etc empire. Cant see them going that route. But nothing would make me happier to see Audi or Porsche or Lamborghini in F1. They def have the money and tech.
  13. 1285 grams for a 29er wheelset. No ways, imagine the speed.
  14. WOW, that is smoking hot. Seriously good looking.
  15. 1200 hp is still plenty. would make for some interesting racing.
  16. I recall watching a program a while back, where they spoke about the old turbo engines. That 1500 Bmw turbo motor could produce almost 1500 horsepower. Imagine what they could achieve today with the new technology and adding the electric power unit aswell. I think they have to limit the fuel or the guys are going to kill themselves. Cars will be waaay to powerfull.
  17. Unfortunately the cheaper models always go first. I suggest you save some more and get the carbon model. Also, a word of advice. Never email bike shops. They are bombarded daily with *** questions and requests for quotes. Go to the shop, speak to the guys and negotiate a deal.
  18. The lights made it seem very pretty, but ja. Serious lack of fans, not just Bahrain but some other races aswell. Why host races where the fans are not interested. The Yeongam race is the same, imagine if they had to bring F1 back to this country how packed it would be.
  19. Sk27, no Vettel bashing today. He had a quiet race. His car was absolutely useless on the straights. My team were useless, at least I am use to it after 4 years. This might well be the last year we see Alonso in a Ferrari. And seriously, Kimi needs to up his game.
  20. Hahahahaha, thanks man. Havent laughed so lekker in a while. Brilliant.
  21. I am not the most experienced rider, however, when it comes to stage races, dual is always best. Unless you are superman. I would not attempt a stage race with my ht, even though it is my favourite bike. Everyone is different.
  22. Serious xc racing Vipa or Spez Epic. Other than that I cant comment.
  23. Merc in a league of their own. Riciardo showing us Vettel is not as good as you guys thought. One thing I can confirm, F1 is all about the car. He who has the best car will win. End of story. Rookies quicker than Button, alonso and Kimi, all former F1 world champs, Vettel in 11th, 4x world champ. Car is key. Seriously.
