Big mistake. Done the route 2 weeks ago. 4 stops between Swellendam and Heidelberg and 2 stops between Heidelberg and Riversdal (the 2 stops, not to bad,could be cleared by now) will be a nightmare this weekend. 3 options: 1. Take R62 al the way 2. R62 to Barrydale then over Tradouwpass(awesome pass) to Heidelberg (N2) Will get at T junction, turn left fo Heidelberg (right will take you to Swellendam). You then miss the 4 stops between Swellendam and Heidelberg (not good stops) 3. Just pass Swellendam (about 10-12 km), just before 1st stop,take left turn to Barrydale (Tradouwpass). When you get to the left turn to Barrydale via Tradouwpass keep straight on towards Heidelberg (part dirt road, not to bad) Enjoy weekend, I need to work part of it

Avoid N2 over the weekend. Travelled to Stilbaai two weeks ago, not good. R62 is the way go.

I have noticed a lot of 29er HT at Jonkershoek last weekend. Why HT and not FS? Is it the weihgt ot price?

martin, have you every ride with assos? I used to cycle with Cape Storm or First Ascent. To compare Cape Storm or First Ascent with assos is like saying that their is no difference cycling with tubes and tubeless. Once you cycle with assos their is no turning back (my experience)

Wheels used for training is normalier heavier, stronger and more spokes, will take the punishment of bumps/holes better. AC 420 lighter, less spokes, will need to respoke "sooner" if you use them all the time.
