the attached image is how it is supposed to be. The spring on my hub was more than 80% out of the groove and severally bent. Will post photo tonight

The spring is beyond repair. i have bought the wheels in 2008. Been cycling a lot without problems. Do you say that it is the cam plate that causes the spring to go out of position?

While ago the free body stopped engaging. Stripped the free body, gave it a good clean. Noticed that the engaging "spring" was partial out of the groove (see sketch). Re-inserted the spring. Cycle a couple of times without problems. Yesterday the free body start slipping again. When opening the free body, I noticed that the spring is again partially out of the groove. This seems to be the cause of the slipping of the free body. This time there is damage to the spring (bent). Question is why does the spring not stay in position (groove) Photo is with spring in correct position AC_freehub.bmp

My American classic hub did the same. Only needed a cleaning. Not difficult

My brother-in-law was having a braai at my place on Sunday. They have a son (7 years). He was playing with some toys and trying to order us around to do stuff for him. Hijack on Question for Johan (Rockshox Reba race 2008) When my MTB is lying on it's side I have noticed oil leking from the motion control damper (leaking seal) I have heard that the agents will not supply the seal, but only the full unit (costly). I thought that it was only an o-ring that needs to be replaced. Supsequent I heard that it is not an o-ring but a "tappered seal" specific to Rockshox Is this correct? Hijack off
