  6. Not many commuters this morning.Thought Hairy would be at Hoogies this morning but passed their small bus this morning on my way to Koeberg.
  7. Made it,no baddy's around. This morning I oversleptfor 1/2 hour and did not want to take on the Marine Dr offramp onto FW De Klerk and FW as the traffic was building up ,so I did hijack alley .Only passed 1 well dressed guy .It was just getting light. Not so keen to do that in the dark.
  8. Saltriver Circle is not my favourite traffic circle especially in peak hour traffic. Then you have strollers also crossing the road, ear phones in and slowing down when they cross the green cycle lane.
  9. Gotta love this cycle path, but still there are guys taking on the traffic on the dual carridgeway. The mind boggles
  10. Quick stop to admire the view, then coffee at Lekker in Kalkbay and to finish off a surf at Muizies

Just read Jake White's book ,it gives a good idea of behind the scenes dramas.
  12. I am sure some traffic congestion will be solved if Metro rail got their act together and did not have to cancel +/- 20 trains per peak, made space for bikes on a coach and developed to train stations into shopping areas with security ,which will hopefully get rid of the thugs hanging around at some stations.
  13. Off the bike for 3 weeks thanks to a cold\flu whatever.So no Karoo2coast after 6mnths of training @#$
  14. I hope it makes them feel bad about sitting in traffic while I breeze past
  15. Been studing Google maps and it seems you can approach Kareedouw from the North East if you bypass Humansdorp.North of Kareedouw is Baviaans lodge and from there you might be able to get through to the Onder Kouga loop and then miss out on the tarr section of R62 near Kareedouw, but you will have to consult the farmers in the area or Nature conservation
  16. Lately lots of glass on the cycle lane :Woodstock myciti station,Hijack alley and Milnerton. Will have to strap a broom to the top tube soon. Be careful out there.
  17. St Francis to Clarkson on the back rds and then to Kareedouw and the Langkloof ,but you will have to some tar in the Lower Langkloof and the Upper Langkloof otherwise gravel farm rds either side of the R62.from The Heights to Misgund.Camping in Kareedouw,Joubertina,Kouga Wildernis also guesthouses all along the way .Go Discover
  18. Never take it for granted that the Cycle lane will be clear of obstacles. Some M..F.. left a dry tree branch in the cycle lane opp Woodbridge primary, inside the bush was a plank with nails sticking out.Saw it to late as I had the beam on flashing and went OTB in slow mo.Good start to a Tues morning 5AM
  19. Enjoying quiet Koeberg nat reserve ,after a female Eland scared me off for getting to close to her group of 20 ,this guy allowed a photo shoot but gave a snort when he got gatvol of me
