  1. Saw this one on Gumtree... Very tempted!!! http://capetown-westerncape.gumtree.co.za/c-Sports-Leisure-sports-bicycles-fitness-De-Rosa-Classic-Full-Campagnolo-W0QQAdIdZ424849793
  2. I bought a Momsen 529 a week ago. Have only had short rides (20-30km) with it, but feels fantastic! The specs are about the same as the 2013 Titan Pro would be with the XT/SLX mix, Stan's Crest wheels and some lekka tyres... Bought mine new for under 13k... That seriously good value for money! I'm loving my new HT 29er, coming from a very heavy 26er dualie!
  3. Did the 30km, was fantastic. Also made a 3km extra loop through the field and singletrack at the start, but anyway... The route is fantastic!
  4. I've got the same two choices... Long story short... Because of the wheels, I will choose the Momsen. You can upgrade the crank and shifters cheaply... The you have a kick-ass 29er!
  5. That's just stupid.

  7. Lapa, after reading all these bleddie posts, realising I have wasted 20 minutes of my life I came to the conclusion that all the time you've wasted on the Hub whining about JB on a case which you are absolutely in the wrong side, you could have made up that R550 tenfold by rather working and doing something constructive... Let it go!
  8. I just had my MTB serviced at Cyclelab Somerset West, and what a nice breath of fresh air. I have used all the other cycle shops in the area in the past, and have had niggles (some bigger than others) with all of them. Cyclelab actually paid some attention to my service and gave my old steed some very good TLC. Thanks guys! Good to see that these guys respect even the non-pro's with the not so expensive bikes (Johan Strombeck, thanks dude!) Anyway, will definitely go back to them!
  9. I normally see it in my average heart rate being 10+bpm higher than normal for 2 days or so...
  10. WTF!?!?!?! Can't believe what I am seeing. As if my son don't have enough energy already!

  12. Love my Massager. Not using the weightloss stuff. But nothing beats the pads on tired legs and back / shoulders... Worth every cent. I see overseas they go for $450. I paid R1599 (I think) with extra wires and pads...
  13. I bought one. Will look on the box tonight.
  14. Where you starting?
  15. Yep, you will be in the front with me!!!! Test the brakes beforehand!!!
  16. Keep it in a "bladder"
  17. Agree with most here. The Cumulus 13 is a great shoe. Ran Comrades in them. On my 3rd pair.
  18. Ditto.
  19. HAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAA, love it!
  20. I don't use my bicycle pump anyway. You will get it in your spokes!
  21. Why is it always the gruis-snorre-dudes ruining it for everyone. Had the same experience at the Argus this year with a ou-toppie thinking he owned the road, shouting at people left right and centre. I made the mistake of telling the oke to cool-down, only to get an elbow in the ribs. Idiot!
  22. I reckon Oros will do the trick.
  23. If you're looking for something to use on the bike only, any one in the CS range will do it. If you are planning to run a little too, then it will become expensive, as you will probably need something in the S range.
  24. No, I don't think you can put in a long hard ride now with 2 weeks to go. You are in your taper period. Sit on the couch, drink a couple of beers and eat a pizza for carbo-loading. Keep the bike clean for the big race day, why spoil a brand new bike on training? HAHAHAHAHHAAHAAAAA
