  1. Just take the busted one to a fastener shop (Topfast, Boltfast etc) and they'll sort you out.
  2. Try Everyday Cycle Supply Co. There may be a bit of a lead time but probably not 3 months.
  3. These are some of the best available in SA for sure.
  4. 8 000 lm with a proper beam pattern and 20h of runtime on low beam. Something's gotta give. Well, in this case 2 things cos your wallet will take a beating as well.
  5. Nope. THIS is expensive. Extreme are Magicshine marked up so you don't have to ship them back to China to get a warranty. 2 or 3 grand for a decent light with local backup is very reasonable.
  6. Your LBS should be able to order, Dragons have in red and blue. No black ones though.
  7. Pretty sure you can get them from BMG, but they probably won't just have them lying around. Not sure what other applications they're used for TBH. We just sell Enduro and Cure cos they have all the stupid made up sizes that bike companies like to use and we don't have to go hacking around to 16 different suppliers to save 5 bucks a bearing. And they're decent, despite the hate they get on the interwebs.
  8. I have stock, will happily sell to you. You don't say where you are, but can ship anywhere in SA.
  9. Nothing special about the sizes, just the double row ones that sting a bit. 4 x 3802 MAX, 2 x 6903 MAX, 2 x 6902 MAX. I have them all in stock.
  10. Headset bearings are their own thing, you won't get them from a bearing shop. Is your concern price or quality?
  11. Easy enough, press the old one out and a new one in. Just needs a few tools and some retaining compund, both of which I have.
  12. On a new fork the steerer is pretty long, but if it's part of a complete bike it'll generally be cut to leave about 30mm of adjustment - this is about as much as is recommended by frame and fork manufacturers. If you need your bars to be higher you can change to a riser bar - Burgtec for one do a 50mm - or you can replace the steerer tube on suspension forks. Extenders are a bit hit and miss - you do get decent ones, but it'll depend very much on what kind of riding you'll be doing.
  13. Thanks for confirming, I suspected as much. Most bike branded suspension oil is just bought from another manufacturer and relabelled. RS 0W30 is most likely just relabelled Maxima 4 stroke motorbike oil.
  14. Afraid I will defer to only one person on this one, and that's @DieselnDust. The Rockshox website will only tell you all the reasons you should only buy their specific stuff.
  15. Depends on the fork. Fox in particular use the same oil in dampers and lowers on their older forks and on the damper side on their GRIP forks, Their 20W Gold is closer to machine slideway oil than anything else. Some RS forks use a 15W fork oil in the lowers, others use 0W30 motor oil. For lubing seals, whatever you use in the lowers is ideal, but basically anything without seal swelling additives will be fine.
  16. Or just use them on solo rides when you don't want klingons following you into the wind...

    Volcan who?

^^^^^^ One Bells for this man, make it a double.
  19. The OG Cadex and carbon Vitus were also lugged and bonded. As are the new Atherton / Robot MTB frames, 3D printed Ti lugs with carbon tubes.
  20. You need to have done 40 before they give you about 10% off. Although the price this year does include the new chip, since they've changed timing services. Let's see if it comes down next year...
  21. That crown makes me think it's a Tora, but that's mostly academic. Just use oil height - 10 - 20mm above the damper foot at full damper extension. Cycle the damper a few times to get the bubbles out from under the rebound piston before you measure. And replace wipers while you're at it or you'll be replacing the fork pretty soon.
  22. I've seen both sides of this coin on cars and bikes. The only way to know is to take it to a mechanic you trust and get them to look it over. We've had some very unhappy sellers leaving here with "like new" second hand bikes that were basically a bag of rusty bolts loosely arranged to look like a bike, and a few others where the buyer got an absolute bargainand didn't even need to replace a chain.. High mileage means nothing if it's been properly looked after.
  23. Post a photo of the shock, you may be surprised...

Hubbers don't let hubbers buy Makro bikes. If you need some sort of intervention, blink twice.
