  1. I will join you in mutual dislike of Kill Bill.
  2. An official installer used to be mandatory as far as I know but realistically it's no more difficult than changing the bottle on a gas heater, and when selling a house I have yet to be asked to produce an installation certificate.
  3. Not sure of the regulations but we have had two installations done in the not too distant past and one ran the piping through the wall to outside and other was into an adjacent cupboard. If you buy from Tafelberg they can recommend an installer but I don't see why you can't do it yourself.
  4. The gas bottles used to last me many months and you know I use the oven a lot but in my experience they are guaranteed to run out around 10am on Christmas day like clockwork for three years on the trot. FWIW I would still say that an electric oven is the way to go if baking but the gas ovens have improved a lot. You can do any kind of cooking you want with gas but it may take a bit if experimentation to get used to it Running costs? Not sure but the last article I saw still had electric as cheaper but not by much. Edit - every Christmas I made vague promises to keep a spare gas bottle, but well yeah...
  5. I still tend to think his early movies were his best work.
  6. That was a slightly mad but enjoyable movie.
  7. You can say that and it's probably fair but at some point I just got sick of people sniping at the committee.
  8. Ahh so now you have edited it?My reply and all that followed was based on your original post ( shown in its entirety in my original reply) that was a simple one line attack and you added more than the last line. Again I was not the only person that noticed. Let it go.
  9. We can ask next time we are in with them, will give feedback when we have any news. Not sure when the next meeting is - will have to get back to you on that.
  10. Yrs you did, I'm not the only one to notice. Anyhow enough for now, hopefully your question was answered.
  11. The whole thing is absolutely laughable.
  12. Nice edit there, adding stuff to make your post look reasonable after the fact. Going back to where this started last night - We asked the right question but we're given false (or at best misleading information), short of calling the officials liars in meetings there isn't much we can do.
  13. I seriously doubt it mate, even if we tried I get the feeling that the old section would be open before a decision would be reached.
  14. For the first time ever you can fit a full ball by ball summary in a tweet... 04W24W0W04100000W40000110W020000401000W000000000101000011W0011200010040040000W1W30000000000000400000000000001004W
  15. Durbanville, stellenbosch, Paarl. Contermans is fun, hoogekraal too. But the fuel costs are a bit ouch to say the least so we normally try and get a few of us together to minimize the costs.
  16. Yes it's all me, that's why you a're getting so much support.
  17. If you need enlightenment try a church. Or ask Deon his opinion of my approach to the process and meetings, because unlike you he does actually have some knowledge. Or alternately you can continue making baseless accusations and snide insults, something you seem to pride yourself on. There is a third option - let's meet and thrash this out face to face.
  18. Yes your in depth knowledge of the meetings is shining through really well. You are nothing more than a small time troll who has nothing of value to add.
  19. All very well but he was asked directly in our previous meeting "when will we be able to ride at Silvermine again?".The answer was September. He knew what we were asking, who we were asking for and why we were asking. It isn't your fault he didn't answer truthfully, he chose not to.
  20. You want rude? Take a look at your post.
  21. Simple. We asked the right question, they didn't supply the right answer. I have spent hundreds of hours of my own time dealing with them and other TokaiMTB issues and it pisses me off when someone with absolutely no clue as to what has been said and done makes a stupidly incorrect statement and puts it across as fact.
  22. I had the last laugh, I went to the meeting on my bike...That said the guy on the gate was determined to keep me out [emoji1]
  23. I enjoy hiking there too but they were somewhat disingenuous when telling a bunch of mountain bikers that Silvermine would be open in September, knowing full well the cycling section would remain closed.
