  1. I used to live in Hope, its a nice place. Bit cold at times though... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hope,_Flintshire
  2. We would like to think so
  3. You made reaching that assumption just too easy.
  4. Why so nasty? There was nothing wrong with what he said.
  5. Tokai where one of these little buggers did his best to cause a crash on the big berm http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/Baboon%2026%20March%202017_zpsvi6e3lkd.png
  6. The Missing. It's good but damn its hard viewing.
  7. By the looks of the map you stopped your ride halfway down? Did something malfunction or am I reading it wrong?
  8. Good but not as good as the first two seasons. Much better than the Christmas special from last year (not difficult) and worth watching.
  9. 'A 26" Anthem of yesteryear' Gits the lot of you
  10. Just open a Specialized Concept Store and lots of old men will willingly bring their money to you. It's just easier. Sent from my ALE-L21 using Tapatalk
  11. It is open on the first, the normal 7am to 6pm weekend schedule. It will continue with weekends only for the time being.
  12. There are valid reasons for the rule regarding the brain area. Also in fairness the staff on duty there start at 6am and it would be a bit unfair if they had to stay later because somebody was late back to the parking area.
  13. I would just park outside Trail & Tar.
  14. No real need as the "after 16.00 hrs" rule is about entry to the picnic area. If you park elsewhere and ride in you are fine.
  15. Copy and paste from Facebook - For the Cape Town MTB Community. I had an incident this morning in Cecelia forrest with a walker and his dogs. I was coming down along one of the demarcated cycling roads and saw a walker and his dogs and slowed down accordingly. As I came to pass the walker at a slow pace he started yelling at me and said "I'm carrying a gun and if you hurt one of my dogs I will shoot you". Please can I ask the MTB community to be courteous, gracious and thankful to the walkers who we are now sharing trails with. Doug Bird posted a video on trail etiquette about 10 days ago which is worth a watch. It is clear that the walking community is not happy with the MTB community. Lets win them over through our attitude and behavior as we share the trails, give them right of way, let them know you see them, and don't race the new sections that we can now ride that have been walking only up until now. 16. Yes that would just about cover it. For those that don't do Facebook here is a copy and paste of the post. We have sent it on to PPA,Table Mountain Bikers and reported it to SANParks - For the Cape Town MTB Community. I had an incident this morning in Cecelia forrest with a walker and his dogs. 17. Check the latest post on the TokaiMTB Facebook page to see how one dog walker raised the threat/stupidity level higher, much higher.
  18. Watch the bar raise higher when DH0 opens, that will test just about anybody.
  19. Fast? Not a problem I have [emoji1] Although I did manage to bin it twice in two days after opening. At walking pace...
  20. Exactly what my youngster had to say about Vasbyt too. We will get the bottom section back eventually, so there is that to look forward to.
  21. Roots rather than logs, just after the big berm.
  22. I think they were accidentally shredded when the DH line was built. Also if I remember correctly that bit had become very loose and weak after the fire so they may have had to go anyway, which is a bit of a shame. As someone said above they were a nice challenge to do for the first time. Didn't you have a big *moment* on there a while back?
  23. Table Mountain Bikers are also reporting that up to ten cycling markers/signs have been removed or broken. Possibly unrelated to this guy but it shows the level of selfishness some people are capable of.
  24. The trails builders (Reto & Shaun) were so into what they were doing there they threw in a good few days of unpaid work to get Cobra completed. And the amount of guys repeatedly looping around the snake trails says it was well worth it.
  25. Just got off the phone to Shaun and it is now officially open, we will try getting there with signage tomorrow but probably a little after opening. Get in there and enjoy the mad rocky bit towards the bottom of the trail.
