  1. This always had the smell of 'wait until it is running properly before joining ' about it. Give it a year and see if it offers value then.
  2. What tyres are you using because that grip is insane...
  3. The simple answer is no.Even with ground tents you are fairly safe, the last time I remember anyone being taken from a tent was years back when a teenager fell asleep half in and half out of his tent. When closed they see the tent as part of the landscape.
  4. Cedarberg, love it there and visit as often as possible. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/IMG-20130106-00310_zps0580d7e8.jpg This picture sums the place up for me, heat, quiet and a crystal clear stream http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/IMG-20130105-00235_zpsb18c292a.jpg
  5. My annoyingly bent out of shape right foot is my problem, it's pig to position nicely. The left is fine but all the sports injuries on the right ankle and knee have left my foot slightly, erm, loose meaning I have to twist my knee in towards the bike to get the foot position correct. If I have to reposition it is a whole palava although every so often I get it right at the first try.
  6. That is so true - you have to get a good feel for the correct foot position otherwise you find yourself faffing around a lot as you ride.
  7. Can't comment on the impact low but the freeriders are really good. Lots of grip, not too heavy and built decently tough (trapped my foot between my pedal and a tree stump rather hard yesterday - the shoe is fine and my foot survived somewhat better than it would have in normal running shoes). I would recommend them.
  8. Trail & Tar, despite their recent brush with unpopularity, have stock.
  9. In a comment that may well get me lynched I have to say one of the reasons I am happy doing a late wednesday afternoon ride at Tokai with my son was the presence of all the runners (or Gumps as I used to call them), it meant there was a reasonable chance of finding your car with all its glass in the right place if you got back to the parking a little later than planned. Having a few people around can be a good thing but just stay off out singletrack please.
  10. Can you use that to make one of them for all of us here so we can all play? And is it a new one or did you finally get the old one returned? Edit - I see Myles is ahead of me with question two there.
  11. Whatever you get paid it isn't enough to put yourself through what is likely to happen now.
  12. I also remember him saying something along the lines of "watch out for Feb/March, that's when it will be a real mess" and so far he appears to be right on the money.
  13. Tokai earlier today, me and the youngster - Hiding in the shade http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/DSC_0170_zps9175a906.jpg The weather played along nicely http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/DSC_0169_zpsdacdf5cf.jpg Two routes around the same corner http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/Boulderstrail2_zpsf0ccafa2.png http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/BenBoulders2_zps8953c07f.png
  14. Like most of us you are doing really well in that regard.
  15. All available to stream too
  16. The traditional tipping over of the bed combined with the smell of frying bacon has been known to work.
  17. You can run it through wdtv but you need to sort out an ip blocker first. I also use the wdtv and for the price it is great.
  18. http://www.telkommobile.co.za/lte/ I took a fairly small contract but top up with prepaid data. It works out around R20 per gig for me, with a gig I can pull in 3 to 4 tv series episodes depending on file size.
  19. Double post
  20. If you think that's fast try out LTE, because just Damn...Pick what you want to watch for the evening and five minutes later the entire nights tv is downloaded and ready to go.
  21. Tokai after work today http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/vlcsnap-2015-01-09-15h38m53s103_zpsf33e8ad1.png
  22. A very good move in my opinion. Binned off dstv over a year ago and could not be happier.
  23. I normally ride around but today was different, they were having a major ruck either side of the jeep track and then one of them noticed me and took offence at my presence. I backed off and let the dust settle for ten minutes and then carried on.
