    Not really, I know of guys riding a few times a week with Vibram rubber soled shoes that have lasted well over a year and are still going strong. Again I will repeat myself - I am not saying they are as good as or better than 5-10's but for someone on a budget that does not allow an initial purchase of R1700 plus they are a good alternative.

    I know I am just playing with Iwan, but that said if funds are an issue flat shoes with vibram rubber soles are a reasonable alternative.

    That is kind of where I was headed - that puts the numbers through the roof. It wasnt a direct action but a consequence of Walters earlier actions.

    A lot? Problem is he may have had a hand in a lot of killings but didn't actually pull the trigger himself. The prison hits for instance. Also what about letting someone die when he could have saved them (trying to avoid names here so I don't spoil it for anyone still watching), would that count?

    Bear in mind that, by all accounts, you are pretty light while myself and some of the other guys mentioning the tearing were not really designed in a wind tunnel... It may make a difference.

    I would be happy enough with the HD on the rear with the MM up front.Check with Capricorn - I think he ran that combo. Currently I have the Muddy Mary up front with a WTB Weirwolf on the rear. Works quite well for me.

    The HD are pretty well known for that issue, they tend to tear but not come off completely as far as I can see. To a lesser degree I am having the same thing with my Muddy Mary.

    Back mooching around my usual haunt of Tokai, pretty hot up there today but fun.     Haven't felt any movement or had any discomfort but I do tend to tie them tight enough to cut off the blood supply to my feet.

    The shoes seem good but on my second ride after getting them I crashed and followed that up by breaking the bike on a small jump.Took me three weeks to get around to fixing it. Got back out this weekend and it appears I have forgotten how to ride because I was rubbish. To cut a long story short I have only ridden in them four times but so far all seems good on the comfort, grip etc front. Now if I can just stop crashing and breaking stuff...
