  1. Lighter now I would have thought...
  2. This. Good bikes and nice people.
  3. Ooh don't mention the coffee shop, thats not popular at the moment.
  4. While you are at it get something out to the top baboon, one of his troop nearly did for me on Vasbyt today. Just before the blind right hand corner on the revamped section just as I land the stupid bugger strolled into the middle of the track as if he owned it. It was close, really close and then the self entitled arse appeared to growl at me as I dived past him.
  5. Just stab the "tour guide" with what remains of the broken fork, should get the message across.
  6. Marwaan is a very helpful guy and will always try and help out if he can.
  7. Still grinning.
  8. Still grinning.
  9. Loser gets dog poo removal duties...
  10. Cool constructive input. Well done.
  11. Tokai yet again but this time with added idiot. Our eldest, Byron who has never ridden a mountain bike, decided to wind up the youngest (Ben who rides all the trails at Tokai around four times a week) by telling him that he could beat him up and down "Easily". He forgot to factor in the fact that at the time there was a spare bike in the house. So it was 18 years old v 11 years old, there could be only one. It was a massacre for poor Byron, despite years of dedicated thumb training on an Xbox, he was in a state of shock within minutes. Uphill, downhill, flat, jumps, rolls, smooth, rough it didn't matter to him he could walk them all. His face when he watched his little brother pull off a jump (the table at the start of My Roots) was worth the entry fee alone. When your 11 year brother is worrying about your health and safety you know its going wrong... Good day out though and there is at least one 18 year old that will think carefully before bragging or making bets in the future.
  12. It's a shame that as, for once, I was able to point and say "See there is a guy that swears more than me" and trying to come up with creative alternatives to explain to my youngster what had just been said was a good mental exercise. Ben once watched him ride the downhill, swearing at every jump, and thought it was hysterical. And to be fair the man did have an ability to remove/break everything considered unbreakable or just too damn difficult to the rest of us on a build day.
  13. That is a worrying thought, especially if angry.
  14. And because they will walk into somewhere like Sportsmans Warehouse and see an array of 29 inch wheels, a few 650b and kicking around somewhere a 26'er that the staff steer them away from because it's "old and just for beginners/poor people".
  15. Holy hell.
  16. Good grief man are you trying an exotic new method of suicide? Death by Hub mob...
  17. Wasn't the worry up there that it might have more slope slip and carry someone with it?
  18. Thats my day sorted for tomorrow then although I did a lot of wimping and squealing after riding through a puddle last week. It was a tad colder than expected and it appears that my assimilation to SA weather is almost complete. Really starting to dislike the cold.
  19. He does fish a lot and often reels in a whale or two.He must be really fun away from here...
  20. Jeez, where was that?
  21. I nearly did once and if I hadn't glanced back at just the right moment I would have missed the sneaky bugger working its way slyly towards a hiding place in the bushes. Got to keep an eye on the sneaky sods...
  22. Where did you get that figure from? Even at 5% that gets you an income of around R100k a month. Given a half decent investment that can easily be doubled.
