  1. I'm having back to my childhood moment and re-watching 'Only Fools & Horses' all the way back from series 1. Classic stuff.
  2. I think those ones are performance line, which makes them a bit soft.
  3. Nobby Nic Evo at R520 http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/schwalbe-nobby-nic-evo-mtb-tyre-snakeskin/rp-prod29779
  4. Like Mayhem said Magic Mary if you can get the. That said if you do find somewhere with stock of the HD let me know too please.
  5. Don't do it, you will regret getting one of those things from Makro. Sniff around the classifieds here and something will pop up in your price range and you would be far better off buying a decent quality used hardtail than wasting your cash on a R4800 dual susser that is just going to put you off riding. Anything like these would be better - https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/108056-titan-trail-650b/ or https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/106335-price-dropped-nomad-fs-twenty/
  6. Read the opening posts - this thread is part of why they were on CB.
  7. Season one was good, it had a fair amount of suspense and was enjoyable. After that it screamed downhill at a hell of a rate.Edit - just watched episode two of Gotham and I now have a new one to add to my must watch list.
  8. Are those Nobby Nic's the performance line ones? If so they are very soft. If you don't mind a bit of rolling resistance you can try either the Muddy Mary or the Magic Mary, both grip really well and I have yet to manage a puncture after a lot of riding. With Schwalbe never ever get the performance line tyres or if they come fitted as standard on a bike swap them out for one of their higher level (tougher) tyres.
  9. I cracked yesterday, and in the absence of funds for 5-10's I bought a pair of these. In the same unfortunate colours... They are a nice step up from the shoes I was wearing and stuck nicely to the pins on my pedals, they were comfortable too. For anybody interested Tekkie Town in Tokai has a few pairs and they are on special at R399 at the moment. They have one pair that isn't neon yellow in a size six (and yes I did try to force my feet in there), the rest are the bright variety. That said once you are riding you don't tend to notice the colour of the shoes. These will do nicely until I have the cash to buy the big boy shoes.
  10. Gotham just made it onto my watch list after checking out episode one, looks interesting. But as I do with all the other series that we watch I will wait a few weeks and then pull a bunch of episodes at the same time.
  11. Anybody tried 'The Killing'? We just finished season two and really enjoyed it, and the ending is a bit of a shocker... Also just watched the pilot for The Flash and looking forward to that coming out. Wife is waiting impatiently for The Walking Dead but I'm bored of that now. The other one on my watch list will be the second season of Marvels Agents of Shield (it took a while but the first season got better and better as it went). Will also echo the earlier comments about The Dome. What a stinking pile... It bears almost no resemblance to the book and is all a bit rubbish.
  12. Thats a hell of a distance for an unofficial builder to drag the tools needed to build up berms, very difficult without a vehicle I would have thought.
  13. These have just hit my "buy before we even look at food for the month" list.
  14. I was wondering a while back why I was having issues at that spot after really enjoying it previously, and then my youngster pointed out the erosion (after I had had a *just about stayed upright and swore a lot* moment). I don't bother with it at the moment - if it stops being fun I stop doing it. Hopefully a repair is in the pipeline.
  15. The erosion has got progressively worse over the winter so you will probably be safe to assume it's not you having a block it is the obstacle becoming steadily more spiteful.
  16. That is Boomslang over the road. The log drop at the entrance has been getting a hell of a lot of traffic and winter has for sure taken its toll on it.
  17. Is Mamba up for any work soon? I spoke to someone yesterday about it and by all accounts it is taking major strain right now and may end up needing a full rebuild if it isn't looked at soon.
  18. Tokai as usual dodging the rain. For the first time that I can remember I was the only name in the entry log and the solitude was magnificent. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r251/mss-65/DSC_0009_zps95hgwsxu.jpg
  19. I want those tyres
  20. How many times have bikes been recovered because people ask questions or put a picture out there?
  21. Hamilton is quoted after a team meeting as saying Rosberg admitted it was deliberate and I have seen a quote (no idea if completely accurate) that the team have described what Hamilton said as "Broadly accurate".If true that is far from a racing incident and good cause for the booing.
  22. How many threads are you going to spam this in?
  23. More trail runners coming down Vasbyt today (off limits as far as I can remember) on a sunny Saturday afternoon and it was very busy. Running down there with your back to fast moving traffic is asking for an accident. I did tell one of them that it is off limits but all I got was a grunt as he meandered slowly downhill. It was only afterwards that my sad excuse for a memory kicked in and I realized I knew one of the three guys, he is a regular Tokai mountain biker and really should know better.
