  1. Johan is right, you will not find then at Bearing Man or SKF, but if you are lucky and they are not badly damaged you can remove the rubber seals, wash them in paraffin and re-grease them and should be good to go.
  2. This stuff works well to seal the rim. You just need one layer.
  3. There are 5 MTB's in my garage, and they are all tubeless. Will never run tubes again.
  4. Some VERY good deals on Merida's at Chris Willemse Cycles at the moment. Definitely worth a look.
  5. That's a great bike you are going to love it. I have one just like that.
  6. Not really a new purchase, I bought it off a hubber almost 2 months ago then sent it back to Morewood for a respray, well it looks awesome now...........
  7. Hi Andre, if Moridin is not interrested I might be looking for accomodation for 2 adults and 2 children.
  8. Difficult to measure with the crank on, but I get 73mm. This is for the Flash Alloy though, pretty sure the carbon is the same.
  9. Just got ours in the post today.
  10. Talking about Oom Chris of CWC fame. He who never lets the hubbers down in their time of need............
  11. I don't think Oom Chris is listening. If he was, I know he'd do something.
  12. I just bought 3 Maxxi Crossmarks from CW Cycles. At R350.00 you can't get these anywhere else for near this price. And excellent service as well. Ordered them late monday afternoon and they arrived at my door this morning.
  13. Hi Arete, i'm keen to join you if you go to jbay bike park. I've been wanting to ride there for awhile now.
  14. Unfortunately it seems that Norm Hudlin is no longer being maintained now that Sharon and Lex have left. The current occupants are very quick to empty the money box, but not so quick to get the lawnmower or weed wacker out.
  15. There will be an open day at the Hopewell Estate on the 17th December, should be a big turnout. About 40km of new trails to ride. Directions Travel along Cape Road approx. 3km past the Wedgewood Golf Course Turn right at the Hopewell Conservation Estate signpost (R368) Drive 3km to Hopewell Conservation Estate entrance
  16. The carbon Momsen's are race machines. Definitely do not have relaxed geometries.
  17. I've just replaced the Avid Elixir 7's on my Cannondale Flash with XT's and just came back from my first trail ride with them. The 1 finger braking is awesome and they have a very nice solid feel compared to the Avids and are quite.
  18. Please share. I am running 2 bikes with GXP BB's, and I know there's a problem on the drive side. I made a foam spacer for the one bike, still have to see how well it works.
  19. Has anyone tried the 661 Recon Wired Helmet? Was thinking of getting it for my son.
  20. I think the Silverbacks are great bikes, but the Merida 2000-D that you are comparing to is specced way better than the Silverback. If you can get it for the same price as the Silverback then the Merida must win hands down imo.
  21. Put the pads into a tin with some meths and set alight. I have done this before after I got some grease on my brake pads and it works.
  22. The longer seat tube of the dualy should be offset by the suspension sag, and the longer top tube should also be offset by the slacker head tube angle as well as the steeper seat tube angle. Some fine tuning with a different stem length might be required as The Crow said.
  23. I think we should all just play nicely together, whether it is cyclists sharing the road with motorists or the trails with runners or horses or people walking their dogs. Lets just try to be polite and courteous, we are all just trying to relax and do whatever it is we enjoy doing. My 2c
  24. Hi BA looks very nice. How is the rear wheel clearance?
  25. Any of the P.E. hubbers done any riding at the JBay Bike Park? I'm thinking of going out there soon and was wondering what the trails are like.
