Hi guys I have stripped and cleaned my crankset and bb after hearing a noise during my last few rides. Everything is ready to be reassembled but I'd like to know if there is a specific grease type to use when re- greasing all the important bits? Is all purpose grease ok to use or is there a bike specific grease to use? Thanks!

Guys quick question... I'm running ust crossmarks on my bike. It's now time to replace the mrs tires on her 29er but she doesn't ride her bike often enough to warrant 600 bucks for a new ust tire ( she's running tubes ). What non ust tires can be run tubeless and how do I do it? Sorry for the hijack but it is topic related...

I had a similar experience on gumtree, I advertised a cannon camera and I received a call from a guy with a similar accent asking to post it to jhb. I also said I need payment confirmation with a ref number and got a message bk straight away from another number also stating nedbank payment successful. And he rushed me during the whole process, told me he needs it urgently... Glad you didn't go all the way dude

Chain cleaner after every ride. Wipe all excess off. I only lube again 10 mins before my next ride after wiping of excess. Then will do a whole bike clean and strip every 3 or 4 rides. Take my chain off and soak in paraffin for an hour or 2 then scrub and dry. IMHO ur cassette and chain must always be clean and lubed before every ride. The muc off chain cleaner spray is a great way to clean ur chain and cassette after a ride without doing a major wash.

I go back the 13th....until the next school holiday ... Sigh

Go over budget a bit and get a pyga. There is a medium in classifieds going for a great 14k wheel set, groupo and fork will make overall amount at abt 25k if u smart with ur cash

I refuel after 25 Kms with some gells and half a jungle oats bar, keeps me going... Maybe try the same. I also started at 110kgs and experienced the same thing but after about 15. I'm under 100 now. Remember us bigger okes have more weight to lug around!

There's a site that tells you what frames are 650b compatible. Get that list ( Google it) and then look for it on the hub, lots of 26er second hand ds bikes going for good prices. Also ask your lbs for older 26er models ( if they have )Good luck.
