  1. I mean hydraulic... Sorry ignore the second 'mechanical' haha...
  2. As far as I know, that 1500 difference is also because the cheaper of the giants has mechanical disc brakes and the other has mechanical, my lbs stocks giant a mate has been looking so that's what we have seen... Just double check
  3. I have had schwalbes, contis, and crossmarks and the result in riding in the mud was the same...
  4. Sad thing is, we take matters into our own hands, and then we get nailed for it...
  5. Insurance companies are going to start asking if our bikes are fitted with a tracking system before they insure....
  6. At the end of the day, everyone has a different and unique experience with either their LBS or online shop. Retail is like that and no one is perfect. I am in no way condoning the stock issue, but every retail business has this problem, including chain reaction cycles. We as South Africans spend too much time bitching and moaning about small and insignificant little things, all for what? We live in a country that has far more serious challenges so let's just deal with it! Don't sweat the small stuff. I have had positive and negative experiences with Cwc, and I will still always use them as they always try and make a plan if something doesn't quite go right - that's the kind of service you should look for, passion for the customer.
  7. Pull up behind them, put ur car into neutral...

    Cricket......

Considering we are strongest in the test format... Watching us play test cricket the last few years, has in my view, revitalized many SA cricket supporters opinions on the game. SA play incredible test cricket!
  10. I did a few 20s before I went to 40 and never looked back. However each 40km race is different, some easy and some challenging. I would say give it a go, take it slow for the 1st 20 then see how you go. Pack some energy supps and you good to go
  11. Totally agree... I've been instructed that comfort holds more value than actual function... I am therefore also looking at a ds 26er for the mrs
  12. I had the same thing hey. All I did was get get some esi chunky grips, raised my stem height so that my overall position was a lot more upright. Takes some of the weight and pressure off your arms and hands and puts it more on the frame and pedals. Good luck
  13. Crossmarks all the way. Great all round tire and super tough
  14. Have a look at the recent santacruz ad, no info given, and a half picture... And for 50000? Almost like they don't want to sell it... Very annoying
  15. Merida big nine tfs range is awesome bang for ur buck. Tfs 300 is abt 8k, and the 500 is abt 10k, only diff is the rockshox. Frames are well built and great to upgrade on. Momsen range is also great. Good luck

  17. The zaskar 9er sport is a decent buy, as far as I know, comes with external bb, 10spd, rockshox recon solo air ( I think ) great looking bike as well. 20. Breakfast is key. Exercising 45 mins before can also lift your resting metabolic rate, which if sustained with 4 other meals throughout the day, should get rid of that afternoon slump. Good luck
