  1. Take them to oom Jeff at GMRacing - he will be able to sort them out for you. I have previously had fork lowers welded in PMB and then had the hole re-drilled and tapped. Worked perfectly! Just needed some paint...
  2. Not enough pictures!
  3. Same happened to me... because i converted a non-tubeless tire to tubeless. Almost didn't finish TransAlps because of it...
  4. Awesome rims - I love mine! (I'm 100kg's, ride a 29er hardtail... hard)
  5. 1969 (42 yr old!) Omega Seamaster Chronostop Looks like it was designed yesterday
  6. I recently bought this for my wife... yes she can ride it to its potential!
  7. Spoke thickness does not affect strength... thinker, straight gauge spokes (eg 2.0mm) are actually weaker than butted spokes (eg 2.0/1.8mm) spokes. Rim design and weight, and number of spokes (ie length of rim between adjacent spokes) has the greatest effect on wheel strength....
  8. ENVE and Chris King....
  9. Contermanskloof...
  10. Watched it the other day on the SC website... its great!
  11. I spent the last weekend there... amazing and definitely worth any effort getting out there. Great campsite at Sanddrif as well.
  12. This is a thing of beauty!
  13. I love my Bialetti as well... the original and still one of the easiest and best. Nespresso makes a great cup of coffee, but steep if you often drink more than 5 cups a day... Also look at http://www.yuppieche...spresso-Machine
  14. I would also like to know...
  15. The Tallboy LT and LTc - long travel 29er awesomeness! http://www.santacruzbikes.com/company/index.php?NewsID=0207

  21. I HATE noisy bikes. When I ride out in the veld or vlei, I want no other sound than the chain smoothly running over seamless gears and the clutter of tires over rocks (I do like the sound of rebound dampening). I have been known to stop group rides to sort out squeaky seatposts and have sold frames for endless noise maintenance. Enter the supposedly quiet hardtail 29er... Usual suspects: 1) seatpost: noise present when standing 2) BB: multiple regreases and replacements - no joy 3) pedals: squeak present with left and right side only pedal strokes 4) crankset: tighten crankbolt moer hard, grease, irritation present with left and right side pedal strokes enter unusual suspects 5) frame: no signs of cracks (although i was considering "internal" motion at the welds) 6) hub: multiple re-greases - silence elusive 7) replaceable derailer hanger: for a couple of km's i thought i had it solved, but alas... 8) rear hub-frame interface: rock solid 9) {actually part of usual suspects} cassette/freewheel body interface: multiple re-greases: no luck 10) chainring bolts: noise present in middle and granny gear 11) individual cassette ring/spider interface: not likely and noise present in all rear gears (albeit worse in lower rear gears) 12) rear derailer jockey wheels: not likely but serviced anyway Finally, after weeks of pondering and contemplating the loss of another bike because of noise pollution, i dropped some Q20 into the bushing between the mounting bolt and the main knuckle.... SILENCE IS GOLDEN!
  22. Nice!
