  1. While the knees still work, make 'em work!
  2. Yeah not so happy about it. Gotta get rid of one of my bikes, and unfortunately my Pyga almost isn't worth the wheels it rolls on.
  3. My dream-machine.. Which I'll sadly put up for sale later today *Pup not included
  4. Was seriously considering the Canyon Torque until the Ransom came along. Apparently the Torque is a bit of a potato on the climbs, which was the expected norm until the Ransom hype and reviews.
  5. Honestly, after putting together my own long travel hardtail I can come to the following conclusion:They aren't particularly good at or for anything. As an N+1 bike that sits among your quiver of purpose-build bikes, it doesn't descend the best, climb the best (nor was it the cheapest by far) and it just rips my old-man knees and ankles apart. I'm not going to do a sani2c on it, nor a Harties downhill run on it. But holy balls is it a sexy machine, and a load of fun to ride too. To the extent that it'll probably see the most butt-time than any other bike I own.
  6. Well.. the house is starting to awkwardly fill up with bicycles and the family is starting to notice. Perhaps remorse was the wrong word. Carrying on with the thread. where are those Canyons? pics pics pics, and stories I suppose.
  7. This thread is starting to give me some serious buyers remorse on my latest N+1 not being a Canyon Torque
  8. Meanwhile checking where State 5 in Greenside is...
  9. Also Voted the PVD. Their website is sweet. More like a forum by people that happen to design bikes too.
  10. Forgive me if it has been mentioned, but what is the "original" oneten frame price?
  11. Wheel size aside, It's flipping incredible to be able to sculpt an aluminium bike with these sort of curves and lines. Carbon bikes have desensitised us to what is and what isn't possible with aluminium. From a steel manufacturer standpoint, I cringe when welds get machined down for aesthetics, but in this case I think I'm in love. *PS: It wasn't too long ago when carbon bikes were straight tubes with connecting lugs, and now look. This is possibly a huge leap in bike fabrication.
  12. Very cool. Are 800 bars also cool for kids' bikes?
  13. Or 27.5 with a shock: https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FROOCO27/on-one-codeine-275-frame
  14. On a side note: Am I only only one wondering what the hell is going on with the value of Pygas as the moment? I understand times are tough and it's a buyers market, but when you see full kitted Pygas for sale at almost the price I spent on my frame, it starts feeling a bit ridiculous. For example: 110 with carbon rims to 28knewish 110's for 23/24kA droolworthy Pascoe for 35ka brand new okayish spec Pascoe for 35k from bikemarket. It's not that I believe my bike is a monetary investment in any way, but when you've spent so much on building up a decent build and then see this, it's kind of disheartening. What's actually worse is that these bikes are sitting around in the classifieds for so long. What is wrong with people that these aren't flying off the shelf.
  15. Ended up getting one of these. Dionwired did a great price-match deal for me (was painless compared to the stories I've heard) For the froth, I figured I need to learn to use the wand properly, else I'll get an external milk frother. At least it's separate, so if it breaks it doesn't put my whole machine out. http://www.delonghi.com/Global/Products/Images/Coffee-Makers/Bean-To-Cup/Ecam-23210W/ECAM-23210W-left.jpg Thanks for the advice. Even if I didn't quite follow it. (looked for a jura, they're just out my budget)
  16. A quick opinion for a not-so-purist coffee lover: I'm looking to get a bean to mug machine that I can turn beans into a decent cappuccino at the press of a button (also on a fair budget) Looking at the Delonghi ESAM4500 (R8200) vs the Saeco 3100 (R5700). Any opinions or alternatives would be appreciated.
  17. Some serious secret Pyga carbon-club FOMO going on here.
  18. Bikes for Downduro! For those not in the know: The ridiculous fella posing as a human being, Mr Sam Hill is tackling this weekend's DH world champs on this.
  19. Wow, Cube finally made a decent looking bike.
  20. New thread title: Biks for nduro, th rstart
  21. I think we all need to re-read the title of this thread
  22. Any Pyga can be blue if you really want.
  23. Tell that to my DollyParton "all business up front" Pyga120 with 160mm Pike (Pat just got a nauseating chill). But seriously what's wrong with mismatched travels other than to satisfy a bit of OCD? The front and back acts differently so can be designed differently.
  24. Even refreshed to see if the name would change. Ahhhh the desperation! Now it's time to go home and give my bike whom I mentally cheated on, a massive hug. "Whose a good bikey-wikey, <pat pat pat>. Please don't hurt me, I only had dreams of riding a SC."
