    If you don't think this it fits your profile of riding, don't go...I'm with you on the high value bikes that people can't ride. But then I think most bikes are never used within their ability! You got to start some where some time. We can't all be expert riders the first time you climb on the bike...

    If anyone is doing the Wild Croc event, please report back and let us know: - how well/poor the event was managed - how the actual riding is on the WILD side - was it fun or just hard climbs - how does it rate to some of the other 3 day stage races? - how Lux was the accommodation/food? - worth the $$$$? This is definitely on my bucket list and to be honest, I would prefer smaller tailor made events with a more relaxed vibe... Not strong enough for this year's event... Hopefully 2017!

    Honestly, with the backup service and support Bicycle Power offers I would never purchase any other brand. It's worth knowing when you invest in something like this.

    What gets me is that Big name products instill fear that sub standard products will fail, yet when a branded frame breaks it's due to a manufacturing flaw... Sometimes I believe the Chinese frames are over designed to avoid problems. So not ALWAYS an inferior product...perhaps not cutting edge weight, but still a value purchase. But agree - don't buy counterfeit and then brand as original.

    So what is the next silly step? We all have number plates on the bikes and you call crime line when you get pushed.... You just need one person in a group to act indifferently and the whole CL name is dragged through the mud... Perhaps the original complainants should get together over coffee, apologize and get back to the sport they enjoy. Or for punishment, wear overalls and red berets on their next ride out...

    Silly question. What happens if a pro lady falls pregnant, let's say without her knowing. (early stages!! No mental pics please!!!) Would there be anomalies in the tests? High hormone levels... How would this be treated? It is Friday

    Saw the new Pyga Stage and Stage Max at Berg&Bush Great trek. Looks really neat in carbon! Talked to a German chap trying the bike out on the trails. He was very impressed with the frame! Think the carbon version is a winner!

    The question for me is always the same: are you paying for hype and name rather than performance? I think for resale, brand name is important, but if I can ride a bike at half the price with 90% of the "name brand" capabilities - That's the one I go for. I believe that performance is 80% rider based. Having said that, I would love a NINER...

    I noticed your bike has a Lefty. I bought mine 2nd hand with a lefty. I struggled a bit with the change in geometry the Lefty makes (my lefty lifted the front by 3cm). Perhaps I'm on the limit with medium frame, but with a standard 100mm fork, it seems to be a happier. Must agree, when I travel to Dullstroom for a bit of R&R, I take the Cotic because it's bomb proof and can take the rough downhills.
