  1. I wonder what will happen to you if you buy your wife a Hoover for her birthday these days? Probably sleep on the couch for a while hey
  2. 559 is still reigning Enduro Specific champion........ Beats all these other sizes mentioned here.......
  3. I'd say definitely go for it, sounds like a good deal to me. I dont know what the road bike is worth, but believe me the Stumpy will give you endless smiles. Just make sure its not knackered, before you seal the deal. Check out this link on second hand check ups http://www.bicycling.co.za/bikes-gear/buy-second-hand-safely/2/
  4. I have Elixer 7 Trails, riding with them for over a year now trouble free. Awesome stopping power and modulation. Also the levers kick ass and Matchmakers are a genius system. Less clutter, the Deore, SLX and XT levers are bulky....... Just saying
  5. What do you want to swop him for? I'd think a bike like that would be worth around R7-9000, depends on the condition.
  6. True, but this is Specialized's take on the new Enduro Specific 559 that just came onto the market. So it should be bloody good.
  7. I had the same experience. Hubbers talked me into going tubeless.....Never looked back after that! Throw that crap away and do the same.

  9. That Capra is the hottest thing since Miley's hammer licking........ I need one!!!!!!
  10. Enjoy!!!!! I am heading off to Hogsback this weekend!
  11. I dont know about Wild Mountain Adventures, but check this link out. http://www.wartrail....odation(2078615).htm I have stayed in Pitlochrie, I think it is the most beautiful place inland. 7kms of trout stream, and you can actually ride some wicked cattle tracks on the farm. Its very steep there and the farm is HUGE!!!! I would defs recommend it. There is not much around the farm, about 40kms from Rhodes, 30 from Barkley East and 20 kms from Lesotho border. We drove Lundean's Nek when we where there, breathtaking views!!!
  12. Hi Nico Rhodes is a great place to stay. There is a bunch of guest houses there and some guest farms around the town. In Rhodes you can try the Rhodes hotel, its very old and has a great vibe to it. Also you can try Walkerbouts Inn, Dave Walker is the man to speak to there, he also used to brew his own beer which was awesome. Rhodes is a great base camp to go visit Tiffendell and to go flyfishing in the area, and off course biking. I havent been there in a few years, so things might have changed. Check on the net for contact details. Goodluck
  13. I also still like having the real thing, but only the mags worth buying. MBUK and Tread thats pretty much it. I suppose if I had a tablet, then I would probably buy less magazines. I just do not really care much about electronics, I like mechanical stuff and invest mostly in them.
  14. If its enduro specific, it must be super quick! Now I need it!
  15. Gaaaawd that Nomad is seriously hot! The more I look at it the more I need it! There has been some great releases lately, its almost impossible to buy something crappy looking..... If had the dough I would have a hard time choosing between a YT Capra, Orbea Rallon, SC Nomad and my others favs the Banshee Rune, Transition Covert, Spez Enduro and Alutech any one really. Maybe one day I will have them all, hanging on my walls everywhere...........one day!
  16. Clarens Xtreme can help you out with maps. They are in the in the area around the square, cant remember exactly where. Enjoy!
  17. I will have a green one too, and please do hurry!!!!!
  18. Cool thanx merwe I see their website is still under construction, I will PM you for his personal adres.
  19. I see......Action Cycle. Thanx Hairy.
  20. Hi Hairy Damn good price you got that fork for! I am specifically looking for a 34mm chassis or more. I would like to have the option of adjustable travel 140mm+ as well. Did you get yours from The Bikeshed?
  21. Thanks for all the info Peter and BL, shizer 45% duties on clothing is ridiculous! Yeah Rock, the local distro also dont reply to my mails. Maybe I should go for it?
  22. Hi Flowta Cool beanz, hopefully he will see this thread. Thing is, I am bit careful of assuming what the final shipping tax and handling fees will be. Last year I ordered two hooded sweatshirt for me and a friend, from California, total price $45, landed and i had to pay R430 tax and other crap......WTF? Have you imported any parts above say $450? Maybe parts from Taiwan? Were the tax and other fees reasonable?
  23. Hi all So I was crusing on ebay the other day and found one of these: X Fusion Vengeance HLR DLA 140-170mm fork on auction, brand new from reputable Taiwan dealer. Eventually it went for only $455. Considering that the shipping to SA from that dealer is $47, total would have been $502 which is R5381. Total bargain or not. I am considering to buy one on the next auction. How much do you suppose the taxmaster will shred me on this?
  24. Yep in my dirt jumping days it helped alot to have a paceman to help you find the speed for a jump.
