    Shock oil

Okey, so I did a little bit of shopping around and saw some all purpose oil from SINGER, the oil is very thin and on the bottle it says its a ISO VG 10 (Viscosity). What viscosity is the SAE 5WT oil?

    Shock oil

Where can I buy small amounts of SAE 5WT oil? Is it the same as automatic Gearbox Oil. I have to survice my Manitou Skareb Fork. Its a normal spring suspension, about an 2003 model.
  6. 113 km/h down lichtens pass in golden gate.
  7. Defending the girls. A few years back, they threatened to half the girls prize money at races like the tour d'urban, if they did not ave at least 35 for the race, in the end they just managed it. This year they finished with an ave around 37, showing how much the ladies racing improved. BUT, I do think that the amount of ladies taking part has dropped since then aswell. Another example was the SAs at PE, where the womens ave was only around 32, resulting in a mass bunch sprint with the entire starting field almost still intact, and look at this years SAs! Yes they have stepped up their game, so they deserve to be rewarded aswell. JA-Q0012009-07-09 02:33:51
  8. Why should anyone in SA race for the money. If you look at the international racing, they never mention the prize money of the TDF or Giro or any of the classics, but the prestige of winning such an event is what they race after. They dont say Boonen won 2000euro at Paris-Raubaix. Why dont they just make it something prestigeos to race for, like the fact that you could win the damn race. Give more trophies and better publisity before more prize money. Then each kid could start having a dream of one day winning that race and wont even bother for checking the prize money.
  9. Well, seeing as Ive done around 20000km - 30000km a year and have ridden my frame for 4 years now, thats around 100000km on that one frame, I have felt stiffer frames as of late, but that could be contributed to the shape and build of the frame and not nesecerally that Ive ridden it PAP. Keep your frame, your interest in the frame will fade before it does. thats why people upgrade every year or two, thats those that can afford it.
  10. In any tour, the restrictions are limited by gear ratios. This is so the comms can just walk through and check the gears. all other events they have a certain distance they have to roll in. Crank bottom vertical, backwards till its again vertical, should fall in this distance. tyre size, wheel size, front and rear gear size has an influance.
  11. The bad thing is I was checking myself at first even grabed the calculator. I also can't believe that the presenters cant find anything wrong with what they are told by the supervisors or people thinking up the stuf behind the scenes.
  12. So here I am, sitting till half past one doing projects last night, when once again I'm reminded why our schools are getting dumber! While working on a heap of maths to hand in the this morning I left the TV on e-tv and on comes the game show brain box or something. Just before I'm finished, they start a summing game where you have to call in and give the answer to the sum 12 - 4 + 7, just as I wrote it. THe options are a) 22, b) 1, c) 15, d) 14 and just like the stuf before I thought, what a bunch of crap. Quickly the first caller gets through and says c) 15, ufcoarse. THEY TELL HIM HES WRONG! They say one must remember the laws of math and that one starts with brackets, multiplication, devision, addition and then subtraction and then gave some idiot R9000 for saying its b) 1. Come on, Im sitting there wanting to bang my head against the wall out of frustration. It reminded of seeing the one episode of hip2b2, when they handled primary colours and gave some kid a prize for saying the primary colours are blue, red and GREEN! What are they teaching the kids these days?

    Chain Care

Only differance is you dont get 10spd or 11spd mtb chains, so you will only find them for road chains for those speeds. The rest are all the same.
  14. Jeesh thats big, no wonder carbon is scarse!
  15. Hope there isnt someone else with the same bike and setup, the poor guy!
  16. "That doesn't sound right. Ar you sure that The gap between the big ring and the FD was good? The FD was tight enough and did not move down and hooked the chainrings when you shifted down? I hope that is the case......I sure as hell did not sell you a faulty item. " I was thinking the same thing, normally its the setup that causes problems like these, once the braket, that the FD braze on to, came loose on my frame and also wrecked my FD. Equipment may fail, but they test that stuff a lot before sending it out. You could have been one of the unlucky few that get problems with new stuff.
  17. photo of the RD?
  18. Agreed get some euros back!
  19. Normally humans are the root of all problems, it wont just break on its own. If it went into the spokes, it was not set up correctly (mechanic) or crosschained too much (rider).
  20. You need to answer the following for your self: Can a spoke transfer a compression force to a rim? Yes/No Are all the spokes always (Normal operating conditions) in tension? Yes/No
  21. see a physio and bike shop.
  22. 50mm, SA is flat with high speed races. You would benefit more from the more aero wheel and better momentum.
  23. you can try this, but I dont garentee it working. Turn in a screw to about 2mm above the boss. then take 2 flat screwdrivers and lightly bend the sides down, so that it sits firmly again. Otherwise you can buy the actual tool used to insert them, it looks like a poprivit gun, but with a threaded head, that can screw into the boss. Not sure where you can find one.
  24. They dont clean it, the mechanic does it for them about 3 times a week.
  25. is it just loose or completly out?
