Most appealing thing about the fs desing is that it seems to be a copy of the FSR system (horst link) used by Spez.

  8. Who sells Ibis in SA?
  9. I am not an expert but I have read that the reason why spinning bike are not recomened is because they have not relationship to the gearing and feel of an actual bike, 1. No gears= resistance is purely perceptive 2. The fly wheel carries the momentum which is far greater than the momentum you would carry on a real bike I have never heard of any objection to IDT's besides the mind numbing boerdom they create. Other than that rollers and IDTs (where an actual bike is used) are supposed to improve the pedaling effciency of the rider according to what I have seen
  10. Thanks I try to follow it but when it says I must only go at 72% and on the day I feel strong I struggle to just sit at 72%, it very very rarely says I should go above 85% so I have done little trainign in this zone. At the 3 towers my avrg hr was super high Day 1 - 159bpm= 86% Day 2 - 156bpm= 84% Day 3 - 1534pm= 83% So surely it shoudl let me train in these zones? Maybe the zones are not set up correctly?
  11. I have a Polar Rs800. It has the own zone feature: described below: The OwnZone determination in Polar heart rate monitors and training computers is based on heart rate variability (R-R-interval) measurement during exercise and it is a result of an extensive research co-operation between Polar Electro Oy and international research groups. Heart rate variability (HRV) has traditionally been referred only in medical research in patients. Polar got interested in HRV in the beginning of 1990 when a Russian scientist presented his findings to the Polar R&D department. In 1993 Polar started research co-operation with the Merikoski Rehabilitation and Research Center, Oulu, Finland, to find out if HRV could be useful also in healthy subjects at rest and during exercise. I have been told that if I want to optimize my fitness I must just folllow the own zone indicators on the watch. 90% of the time the own zone says I should train between 58% and 78% of HRM Is this not too low? In order to improve speed and stength surely I need to push it to 90% at times?
  12. If you going carbon go Easton, they make really good carbon stuff.

  24. I am looking to put a new seatpost on my MTB (yes I am trying to save a few grams) but not at the expense of reliabilty. I have a KCNC pro lite TI on my road bike and I dont worry about it breaking or snapping at all. But the abuse an MTB takes vs. the road bike is a different story does anyone have some words of wisdom to share on 1. Is the KCNC on an MTB a bad idea? 2. What seat post would you recomend Current set up I am using a Bontrager RL 400mm 0 degree offset post at the moment, it works 100% but it is on the heavy side. I am below 90kgs and I like to ride at places like VG / rietvlei and I will be doing the 3 towers to give you an idea of the type of terrain i will be riding.
