  1. Mine:...........A Morewood, proudly hand made in Pietermaritzburg RSA!!!
  2. No, no, no It is infact one of the firstline treatments for gastritis of any origin. More common names are Histak/Ultak/Lenamet.
  3. There where a few studies done on this and the only deffinative treatment that we found for this problem was the periodic use(a few days before and until a day or two after the event) of a medicine called Ranitidine/Cemetidine.
  4. You have a very well known problem that we encounter in endurance athletes. It is called Exercise induced Gastritis. Basicly: Exercise decrease blood flow to the stomach, this causes a higher acid production in your stomach and a relative drop in the layer that protects your stomach from the acid, thus giving you a gastritis.
  5. I was there the day it happened. It was more or less 3 weeks ago. It was two youngsters that robbed a farther and his son with their knives. It occured at Fountains Valley on the back part of the XC course. Since then They have set up a gaurd at the entrance of the XC track. I must say Fountains/Groenkloof really tries thier best to ensure rider safety and this was an isolated event that hopefully won't re-occur.
  6. Well, the best is to set both the fork and shock's sag to 25%. On the shock a rule of thumb that works well is to convert your weihgt in to pounds and use that to pump your shock in psi: i.e. if I am 80kg x2.2 = 176 pounds. Thus pump your shock to 180 psi. Also remember to pump your shock in the "open" position and not on propedal or locked out. From there adjust as needed. For the fork: take a cable-tie and loosley aply around the stanchion. Now sit with your full kit/weight on the bike and the sag should be 25% of your travel.
  7. Phone Dylan the roving mech. He willpick up your bike and service it for next to nothing. He did my brakes and hubs and i am pleased!
  8. Even with the royal mail or free shipping option there is a tracking number as soon as they ship it. Just look on your order confirmation on the site. It must be there. If they haven't sent you a confirmation yet or it is not on the site( your basket area) it was not send yet and they are prob. waiting for stock and still bussy "processing" the order.
  9. I would like to do MTbikeing! Financialy I cant afford it, But comments like that will delay the process Nhaaa......don't worry ocram, just pullen yah chain...

  14. Very much so went and tried it out on Friday after getting the flyer' date=' managed to get in about 15 km it's not bad but not groenkloof, the best climb was on tar I am afraid up to the spanneskop fort really beautiful views from up top there, there looked like there were some offroad options on the way down but it was getting late so no time to explore. The main trail is well marked but other options were few and far between, hope they mark the trails properly and it will have great potential. I will be using it for hill climbing as it is a really steep and long climb to spanneskop until I find the off road option. [/quote'] I presume you are referring to Skanskop? If you ride on the tar and you reach the second last right turn before reaching the fort you will see a mast surrounded by fencing. There is a small single track on the left of the fence that starts there. Take it all the way down(nice technical down hill). But you know that what goes down must come up so turn arround and you will have a great, long technical climb with allot of rocks!
  15. If you want ALLOT of climbing practice(esp. technical stuff) the monument is the place to go!
  16. Yip, I know exactly what you guys are on about. Was a spinning instructor a few years ago but I quit 'cause I got bored of working out new classes every week. So I ended up just using the bikes on the outside of the studio on my own untill I got chased of it by some fat dude who also wanted a turn on the thing. Now I have my own at home but must say......I miss the "scenery"
  17. Indestructable AND Light? Oh yes!!! My Zula wieghs more or less what those bikes does but it won't break!!!!
  18. Just make sure the shoes have the threading on the inside and that it is well covered. If not stay away! If it has got the threading you should be able to just "peel" away the rubber strip.
  19. Look for a cheap 2nd hand spinner. I've set up my spinning bike to be almost exactly like my mtb. You can get decent(ish) spinners for R2500 2nd hand For the IDT you will need a yellow continental tyre and remember the extra amount of wear and tear on the drive train!Regard2010-05-04 07:46:26
  20. NO-NO-NO Think clearly now: The center point of the circle is not the hub anymore, the circle is a new one where the center spot will be in the middle of the tube/tyre space. Imagine you cut a tubless tyre/wheel combo open and look at it from afront( the way they advertise new rims) That is the new circle that is being talked about. It must get smaller, radius smaller, less volume etc, etc
  21. Josh you are right! By adding the strip you decrease the radius of the circle, thus also reducing(though minimal) the air volume it can take! That previous explanation is bollocks!
  22. When we cycle( 3 of us) I always pull away on the downhills without as much as one stroke of the pedals, and you wanna know why: Rider A: 79kg Rider B: 82kg Me: 92kg Easy!!
  23. Don't you worry to much. My highest speed ever on a mtb was at the Baberton, that was 73.9km/h and that was with black insulation tape and a valve only and I am still alive and kicking!
