Super Sywurm

Mine has a 100mm travel fork with 2.4 tyres. I am very tempted to upgrade the fork to 120mm. Although, the bike is awesome with 100mm travel. Enough for my kind of riding. And this build can easily win local races, I just need to up my fitness. Already 2 x 2nd places under the belt.

The wheel in question is the Roval Traverse 29" alloy. Just received the new replacement rim today. Great service from the shop. Hope for the best...

If I had the money, I don't think I would buy the new Scott Spark. I don't have any experience with the bike, but the access to the shock is my only concern. Probably not as bad as I think it is (this is my personal preference). Oh, and the looks. There is prettier bikes on the market.????????

I run 2.4" tyrea, Ardent rear and Recon Race up front and I am doing well, breaking some Strava PR's. And a KOM here and there.

Just go to your lbs, they will have a box full of old parts somewhere in the corner. Just last week, I scored a free rear derailleur bolt at my lbs.

I am just waiting for a temporary replacement set from the shop.

I asume this rim cracked due to over tensioned spokes. It's not an expensive set, but I don't think the rims are bad quality. Lets call them "excellent entry level wheels". I raced them on Saterday, Sunday and Monday. With the cracks, they felt good.

He is probably in the wood selling business.

I also got excellent after sales service from them.

Update on the cracked wheel. The shop said they will replace under warranty and this cracked wheel did a race today, no problems (that I know of).

Then they must have a 50kg weight limit? The over tensioned spokes is my conclusion as well. I don't think the wheels are bad, maybe it's just the built quality that is sub standard.

My wheels yes, but there is nothing on the wheels, except for the 622x30 next to the valve. I think it came of from a bike. So I assume Spez built it.
