  1. I use your first option and yes, you need to remove the front wheel. I only transport one bike. One wheel is no problem, but two or three might become a problem.
  2. I think you will need to know how a number of forks feel while riding before you can pinpoint the difference between two specific forks. I have a Reba thats kind of noodlish, but I can't feel it. I don't have the experience to know how it feels.
  3. Thank you very much. I really needed this!!!
  4. I personally would ride a 34T in PTA.
  5. 36T oval maybe?
  6. Where are you from?
  7. This is exaclty the problem I have. I had a cheap(er) Manitou Markhor fork, really liked it. Then I upgraded to a RS Reba. Just not the same and I blame the setup. I can't find the sweet spot. This is my second Reba, the first one was fine, not much better than the Manitou. I am actually considering a Markhor again. Don't think I would actually do it, but maybe.
  8. I second this 100%.
  9. I think the only way to get good reviews on this bike is to get demo bikes out to all the Hubbers...
  10. The shorter the storie, the more legit the sale.
  11. My knees feel better on oval than on round. It might be all in the mind...
  12. This might not be the case for the Thule, but I have a hang on Buzzrack for three bikes. There is no way I would ever considder loading three bikes on that and I don't think is possible. Two is easy. I will always buy a rack for one bike more than I need, just in case.
  13. . Your cousin one contacted me regarding a bike, bit he never pitched when I arranged a meeting.
  14. I use a Rapide 32T and next buy would be a Rapide 32T or 34T.
  15. I like Shimano more, but it feel like Sram is more compatible with other brands and easier to work with. That said, I had no problems with any Shimano or Sram products.
  16. I have read somewhere that the pitch of the Shimano and Sram teeth is not complete the same. In short, a Shimano chain on a Sram cassette will wear out more quickly. Correct me if I am wrong.
  17. I currently have a SX chain with a SX groupset and a Rapide 32t Oval chainring. The chain has currently 3200km on and still going The chain will need replacing in a couple of km's. Which replacement chain would be the best for the setup, keeping in mind I do mostly dry Northern Cape XC/Marathon riding.
  18. No, I stopped using carbon bars. Edit: I think the bar is still in my garage.
  19. I had one, but it dented were the shifter and brake levers were. Probably over tightened it. I did use a torque wrench and tightened to spec.
  20. Does Takealot count as a shop in Gauteng? Think they sell it.
  21. That is why I have some cheap brakes, to cancel out most of the speed.
  22. Cycling is not suppost to be a contact sport.
