  1. What's going to replace it?
  2. Some guy at work brought them in. He got the at his local pharmacy... They are blood/urine dipstick thingies.... I've seen them here too: http://ilovebanting.co.za/collections/keto-sticks but I haven't bought any from them.
  3. Let's see...... .. Never? I commute on my single speed, and every day is like a time trial. You raise a very good point. Perhaps I should take gears and ride very easy for 2 weeks...
  4. I'm really struggling at the moment with power output. I went through a time where I honestly felt limitless, but I've hit such a slump that I'm really confused as to what to do with lchf. I've done a few tests with keto sticks, and I'm always in ketosis. I feel fine on rides until I have to push some power up hills (which is usually a strong point). I have a few seconds into big climbs before the legs feel like they just have nothing. I haven't really changed what I'm eating, and I've been pretty strict with lchf eating. Anyone else go through this kind of slump? I'm really hoping for a silver lining light at the end of the tunnel thing here, because I'm suffering....
  5. Awesome. Pencilled in for 13 December.
  6. Coffee club.... Everyone contributes a fixed amount per month, and no one winges about how much others are drinking. Adjust the fixed amount according to demand.
  7. Today was my first rain commute. So different, but I still loved every minute. Knowing that everyone forgets how to drive when it rains, and there I was safely off the road. The only thing that scares me about the rain up here is the possibility of lighting... Especially on a steel frame.
  8. I have this on my Simple. Works perfectly. Only need one on the drive side... Join with a decent skewer, and you're set.
  9. Unbelievable. Thanks for the share. Lots to celebrate, and memories forever.
  10. I'm about to drive home. I know I'm going to regret it. Seeing my bike in the rear view mirror all the way home while stuck in traffic.
  11. I'll look out for you on my way home! I'm seriously thinking about one of those carbon rigid forks from rapide...
  12. So under rated. I have it set to 120mm, and it's rock solid. Love it. At that price, I just can't believe how plush it is.
  13. Bet that wasn't the response he anticipated.
  14. Lovely bike BigBen
  15. This morning on my commute, I saw a motor cyclist lose it with a car at a 4 way stop. He then proceeded to try and kick it's light out, but only managed to push himself and his bike over. I had to laugh.
  16. Some crazy people even start running.
  17. Magnus seems like the guy who tries to get a rise out of people. From me, he gets a "meh".
  18. I guess this is the most important thing that Noakes (and even his biggest oppositions) has been saying. Eat whole food. Processed stuff is bad.
  19. I've tried them. They're not bad, but definitely not enough fat.
  20. Argh! Just when I've bought 6 tubs at the expensive price. Oh well.
  21. If I didn't eat dairy, I may shrivel up and vanish. As far as I remember, it's always been on the "hidden carbs" radar.... Along with nuts.
  22. http://dischem.co.za/product-view/7143/nchoice-macadamia-nut-butter-410g Best ordered with other stuff as they charge a flat fee for delivery of R60...
  23. I just ordered another 4 jars from their online store....
  24. You sir, are a genius. I just smashed half a frozen jar in my face. Delicious! Any tips on getting it out the jar more easily?
  25. So I'd like to see if anyone else has experienced the same thing as me. I've been training water only for many months, and racing endurance events lchf. I've recently been experimenting with racing one day shorter (70km) races on sugar. So far, every time has resulted in cramps. Hamstrings and quads. I've been taking chelated magnesium and calcium for some time now, so I doubt it's a lack of those. Honestly, I can't say whether sugar has helped my performance or not. I'd have to try race hard in the next one lchf to see the difference. Anyone else has cramps on sugar after going lchf in normal life and training?
