  1. Once again, tool up comes to the party with this offer: "try the Epicon, and if you don't like it we'll give you the epicon value off the Reba." Amazing.
  2. Thanks for the feedback all. I'm probably going to go with a 120mm option. Still undecided on whether I go Reba or Epicon. It's going to come down to how much more the Reba is going to be... I know it's more expensive, but pretty convinced it's worth it.
  3. I see myself buying 2 forks in the near future.... I'll definitely start with the Reba. I'm not sure I'm hard enough for rigid just yet. Thanks for all the feedback. I'm so excited.
  4. The thought of rigid has definitely crossed my mind.... I figured while I'm spending, go suspension... I can always buy a rigid in future for a not so massive outlay.. Mm
  5. I'm building a single speed. It's going to be built around a Reynolds steel cotic simple. I can't decide what fork it deserves. The frame can handle 120mm of travel, and I've got a dropper post for it too. The aim is to build a single speed trail machine. Any opinions on forks? I've though from a suntour epicon (to keep costs down) all the way to a Reba (just bite the bullet). It's Friday, so let me have it!
  6. I finally found free range (organic would have been better) pork crackling snacks! Country meat in Fourways has it, along with all sorts of mind-blowing grass fed goodness.
  7. Those are some Sassy Pedals! Nice build. Again, I have "the jealous".
  8. It starts.... I'm excited. Thanks tool-up for the deal of the century!
  9. Double post....
  10. Commuting has made me so much stronger. It's great base training. And I'm such a grumpy bastard on the days I don't ride!
  11. I have noticed that too. Fair weather cycling! ????
  12. Why do I live so far away!
  13. My first mtb ride was NF. Rode to the river on mostly jeep track, did the river section after walking down the entrance, and then back. Loved it! Hooked.
  14. Hi cell number is in the OP ( 082 551 1868)
  15. Andre just finished with my bike. What a cool experience! A LBS that's Local wherever you're home, at work, or wherever! I got to sneak out of my meeting a couple of times to have a look, and he was patient with all my stupid questions. Good to know that he can also supply bits and pieces for very competitive prices. The price I was charged for the whole service including labour and parts was cheaper than the labour cost at a certain "special" store I used before I knew better! Thanks Andre. Looks like I've found my new LBS.
  16. Definitely. I train 6 days a week. I am hungry all the time. I eat plenty of fat, and have decided it's just how it is for me. I always have a stock of coconut oil and mct oil in the office to stop me snacking on anything else.
  17. Only a teaspoon? I smash a table spoon of mct, unsalted butter, and sometimes cream too. So good before my rides. I just eat a big handful of almonds and I'm good to go.
  18. I don't own a Pyga. Unfortunately. But your current bike is the bike I would settle for if I absolutely couldn't have a Pyga.
  19. I would sell a kidney for a carbon oneten.
  20. Go on. Take a risk. Pick sides.
  21. Standard bolts from the small Chainring. They were longer (to fit the spacers in). Spacers at the moment (34t or 36t) are just 2mm washers....
  22. I've bought all the parts, but haven't don't the conversion yet. 34 ran fine, although I've been running my 36 for all my training
  23. They keep it with the coconut oil and olive oil.
  24. You just need to develop mountain sense. Ask the capetonians how.
  25. Before, bulletproof coffee, and a fistful of almonds. After very long or very hard sessions, I take recovery carbs (but don't tell anyone).
