  1. My first mtb ride was NF. Rode to the river on mostly jeep track, did the river section after walking down the entrance, and then back. Loved it! Hooked.
  2. Definitely. I train 6 days a week. I am hungry all the time. I eat plenty of fat, and have decided it's just how it is for me. I always have a stock of coconut oil and mct oil in the office to stop me snacking on anything else.
  3. Only a teaspoon? I smash a table spoon of mct, unsalted butter, and sometimes cream too. So good before my rides. I just eat a big handful of almonds and I'm good to go.
  4. I don't own a Pyga. Unfortunately. But your current bike is the bike I would settle for if I absolutely couldn't have a Pyga.
  5. I would sell a kidney for a carbon oneten.
  6. Go on. Take a risk. Pick sides.
  7. Standard bolts from the small Chainring. They were longer (to fit the spacers in). Spacers at the moment (34t or 36t) are just 2mm washers....
  8. I've bought all the parts, but haven't don't the conversion yet. 34 ran fine, although I've been running my 36 for all my training
  9. They keep it with the coconut oil and olive oil.
  10. Before, bulletproof coffee, and a fistful of almonds. After very long or very hard sessions, I take recovery carbs (but don't tell anyone).
  11. What a thread! Some really nice knives. I have a nice little collection I need to photograph some time. Love my benchmades, zero tolerance, good old kershaws, and some custom made stuff. I carry a benchmade daily. I love limited edition knives, first production, and specifically look for nice numbers like 500 or 1000 etc. Looks like I'm going to have to add an opinel to my collection too!
  12. I Wouldn't go 30t. Within a month you'll be buying bigger... I train with a 36t, and race on either 36, 34,or 32. Depending on how much climbing there is. Basically, it's not about needing lighter gears, but more about being able to rest / recover if you want to.
  13. Mixing the butter and the coconut oil is genius! I've been trying to find a more efficient way to make my bulletproof in the morning. Thanks for the idea!
  14. That mct oil makes me burn hot! I can definitely feel the difference. How have you found it compared to coconut oil?
  15. Bright red flashing lights save your life. My new Knog will make SURE you see me from behind.
  16. So I obviously rushed off to dischem and bought some, along with one of those little milk frothing machines for work. It makes very good bulletproof coffee (I just need to get some butter). Thanks tombeej
  17. Dischem online shopping here I come!
  18. Anything latex free.... Could use one of the water based ones like OKO.
  19. Wait, something isn't right. I think those are net grams or something. They are from an app I use to track eating. Works out at about 3000 kcal per day...
  20. I'm still hungry all the time. I keep carbs below 70g a day, mostly below that. Fat is always at or over 200g per day, and protein around 100g per day. I am doing a lot of riding though. Like 2hrs a day. Question is, more fat? More carbs? Noakes says up to 150-200g per day if training hard?
  21. By that theory, if you never remove your tyre, and keep topping it up, you'll eventually tend towards have a very high concentration of nitrogen in your wheels anyway. ????
  22. Dischem had some......
  23. There was a thread like this not too long ago, including pictures. Apparently motocross (Or it could have been ENDURO motor bikes) have smaller rear wheels?
  24. Getting warmer up here in Gauteng too. Even when I start early (5am), it's already warm enough for a simple base layer or jacket. Definitely not both. Which also means it will start to rain soon. :-)
  25. That sounds delicious. Let's get a few more recipes shared for today shall we?
