  1. Amazing stuff!! Im amazed you went so far to get it all done, that was a lot of work!! The screws are amazing and Im very excited to build something with one
  2. Meh the old stuff brings back nostalgia but I wouldnt want to ride any of those bikes. A modern bike is just so much nicer to ride.
  3. This seems like a pretty simple explanation to me. No support and no spares = get something else
  4. It was between the fortuner and everest for me, fortuner is stupidly overpriced and the drive is a lot less comfy than the everest. The Isuzu MUX is like chickens teeth to find, its probably because they are so ugly that no one wanted to buy one new, that is my theory at least I have never been a fan of Ford, I figured the old 3.2 has proven itself in the ranger for a while now so it should be ok. There arent a lot of decent options in my price range on the second hand market so the everest is the only one that fits.
  5. Its a lot like quitting smoking, its difficult for a while until you get used to it. After that you feel pretty good about.
  6. Yup, same one a mate of mine had. First time he did "offroading" (it wasnt serious offroad) he managed to crack a diff housing because there were no cover plates as standard on them. That car looked flippen sexy, but man did it break often and cost a lot to repair.
  7. Dont say that! Im about to pull the trigger on a used 3.2 Everest. Most of my research found them to be pretty reliable cars, hopefully I dont get a lemon.
  8. Last derail from me on the Jeep I promise A good mate of mine said the only car that gave him more trouble than his 3.6l V6 Wrangler was a Renault Megane. That Megane cost nearly as much in repairs as it did in purchase price. The other one was a Jeep Grand Cherokee. In both cases it was tons of electronic failures, sensors other little bits that cost a lot. The only real issue was damage to one of the axles from a rock strike because they dont come with bash plates. In both cases they said it wouldnt have been as big a deal if it was a more mainstream vehicle and new/2nd parts were cheaper and more accessible, this is not the case for Jeep in SA.
  9. OP are you looking for new? If there isnt a condition to buy new then I would look at 2 year old, it still has warranty, has taken the big depreciation hit and is way better value.
  10. If you like paying a lot of money for something that breaks a lot, then Jeep is right up your alley.
  11. Their price is just stupid for how terrible the styling is. Tritons used to have the "cheap enough to ignore how ugly it is" thing going, but they dont anymore, not they are just ugly!
  12. What do you do as an organizer in these kinds of situations? A race of this size doesnt get planned a few weeks in advance, it takes a lot longer than that. Add the complexity of a new wave with the delta variant, gathering rules etc and its not possible to host the event. Holding on to all of the money without partial refunds/carry over is not cool though. It now means that most people are going to want to hold off entering anything for a while so numbers will be down until closer to the event when they suddenly shoot up. I think its just a miff situation all round.
  13. I just popped in to see if they had already started cracking, thanks for checking
  14. Sadly I think the gorilla is past it now, he sure could kick pretty hard in his day though.
  15. HI DIPS!
  16. Why? Most people spend a lot more time driving their cars than riding their bikes, so why compromise on the car just to carry a bike? I can guarantee you that A45 will be a boatload more fun than most other vehicles that would easily transport a bike.
  17. That looks awesome. I really like a hot hatch with roof racks for some reason.
  18. Lol no, Im not even sure why I commented, I was literally taking a 2 min mental break from a big issue and wasnt really thinking. I have seen some really cool stuff happening on the data side with NTT though, some really interesting tech involved.
  19. Im super cheap with clamps, but these have never yet let me down. I have a bunch in different lengths. I also have some sash clamps from Adendorff and Gelmar that work fine for the times I need them. I mean really, clamps are clamps, as long as they dont fall apart and can hold your work then they are good
  20. I expected that NTT would offload the team as soon as possible, they are far more interested in being a tech partner than in teams.
  21. Ah interesting, is it compressed air or compressed co2? Generally you dont want oxygen introduced until after the liquid has been dispensed. I like the concept though, it could do well in the right places.
  22. Its generally pretty straight forward to choose. - MyBroadband: Pro's: TONS of users, lots of opinions and most likely someone that will have personal experience with x. Discussions are not overly moderated unless they get super messy. Con's: The usual "forum mafia" exists and it can be pretty clicky. Its just not a nice and friendly place like Bikehub. Its really just a place for fighting most of the time. - Carbonite: Pro's: can pick up 2nd hand CUD satisfaction Con's: its a classifieds forums for pc stuff, its hardly the place I want to have discussions. There are a few others, but they all suffer from lower user numbers etc. This isnt an issue if you dont mind a response every second day or so, its hardly useful for enthralling conversation though.
  23. Starrett probably has a lower end line these days, but this is kinda the expected pricing on their quality tools: https://wood.tools4.co.za/product/starrett-c11h-12-4r-12-combination-square-with-square-head/ R3300 is definitely not cheap for a combo square! I love Incra, I just think its pricing is nuts.
  24. Very nice indeed! Are you kegging with cornies and then just running a low serving pressure on the wine? I cant imagine that you could store it long term under pressure without it becoming carbonated.
  25. Woodpeckers make awesome, accurate, beautiful... and stupidly overpriced tools!! You can get them here but they are super expensive. In most instances I would probably rather go for Starrett at similar prices.
