  1. Interesting, I got mine in 98 too and its an EB, I didnt ask for that, it just came that way.
  2. This I find very interesting, if the FCC ID is the same then as you say, the electronics are the same. Werent there a bunch of issues with the Vectors?
  3. I also wondered about that when the video came out. Diresta is normally into practical things, but it was really just a veiled advertisement for their coffee.
  4. I would only consider Hammerite or Rustoleum for applications like this. Its mad how much of a difference there is between cheaper spray paints and good quality like Rustoleum.
  5. I saw that recently, welcome! Lots of really helpful people on this forum, its a great place to be.
  6. Tander from MyBB?
  7. I was also going to suggest the Triton, its particularly good if you want to use it in a router table as it has its own depth adjustment so you dont need to get a plate with that built in. I have a Triton belt sander and its worked super hard without ever skipping a beat.
  8. Mine are a medium grey, but there are a lot of accent walls in everything from sky blue to deep teal. Colour can really change a space so I just let my wife decide what needed to go where, she is a fine artist so colour is her thing.
  9. Yeah, it wasnt something we wanted to do, but it saved a LOT of money in the end. Im also fairly handy so I just really wanted them to do the basics, cupboards/kitchen etc was always going to be on me to build.
  10. Yeah ordinarily that would be the case, with my build I borrowed my brother in law's crew as he is a building contractor, so I got materials to site etc and paid his guys. I bought DAS cornice and adhesives which the finish carpenters put up, but then they had to move on to another job. I had to fight with the manufacturer who eventually just replaced the adhesive and werent willing to do more. As a side note, 2 years on and the cornices are starting to pull away again in some areas. I try not to look at them because I get super annoyed, but I will have to do something again soon.
  11. Flying brick is an awesome name!
  12. Interesting that the cornice is made from wood, in SA its mostly polystyrene these days. When I built my house about 2 years ago there was a defect in the adhesive and EVERY SINGLE cornice fell down a few days later. I couldnt get the contractor back for a few weeks and had flooring people arriving later that week with the walls all needing to be painted before then. So I had to put up an entire house worth of cornice, I hate the damn things!!!
  13. A restart should have fixed it if the old IP was being refused by a CDN. Some devices retain leases for a bit longer though so Im assuming its more along those lines, it shouldnt be browser cache if an alternative connection works.
  14. I dont like mitre saws for framing applications, they arent accurate enough for me. I instead use a picture framing sled on my table saw, the included angles always match up and the joints are always tight. I think it took me around 30 mins to make that last sled, its not pretty but it does an amazing job. My wife is an artist so Im forever making frames for her work and its quick and easy.
  15. A surfer child that lives in JHB? Does not compute
  16. It sounds like they claim to be very good with warranty, in practice it might not be the case. Hopefully they were OEM and Enve cant claim the wheelbuilder messed up the tension.
  17. Our locals hate being outdone, they have come up with their own tricks, like stealing the headlights out of VW Polos! But yeah, it never ceases to amaze me what people will steal.
  18. Yeah it probably was, I cant recall if this was the one but its very similar:
  19. Scooters are a massive issue in the UK, the gangs that cruise around stealing phones out of people's hands use them, so the theft on them is always very high. I watched a documentary on the scooters gangs, its pretty scary how much they actually steal.
  20. Cois put some screenshots below, but its a measure of three different activity metrics, if you meet them then the rings all close for the day. They are always there, judging you... It really helps people to get moving a bit and get those rings closed, its one of the main reasons Im considering the watch.
  21. I generally dont like meat substitutes but Fry's arent too bad. Their bigboy burgers and boerewors are both pretty good for when you are craving a boerie roll or hamburger. But yeah their products are mostly good for people who arent good with flavour or havent got past the idea of having to have some "meat" with each meal.
  22. Apple have the rings of judgement which are a great motivation to move! My friends who have Apple watches really find value in trying to close those rings.
  23. "We just wanted to make some planes, now we are bloody businessmen!" That really sums up who those guys are, seem like a bunch of legends to me.
