  1. I've got an A20 FS 2013 and I am very happy with it. No quality issues or support issues. One thing about the Kore rims though is when I started riding I was a tad on the heavy side (101kg) and I seemed to buckle the rims a lot, but now at 89kg they are perfect, no problems. Also as Bullet77 says though, wont be long till you upgrade, 9 months later and I am looking at bigger/better and more $$$$$ already..
  2. So tried all the above and the squeak persisted. Ended up tightening every spoke by an 8th of a turn and it seems sorted. I think it was rubbing where the spokes cross each other.
  3. Some new work from Saffronframeworks (off their instagram page).... http://photos-d.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xaf1/10598518_333986383445115_22850762_n.jpghttp://photos-b.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xfa1/10661027_563714317090993_1143822486_n.jpghttp://photos-a.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xaf1/10593268_322136204630232_768273248_n.jpghttp://photos-e.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xfa1/10623704_708881275834348_1251492703_n.jpg

When an activity is viewed on the website there is an option to refine the elevation gain, seems to sort it out. All automatic.
  7. Thanks, will give these a go.. The skewer/axle thread is lubed, but maybe a bit more is needed. Really sounds like its the spokes though... Will feedback once tried..

  9. Searched a bit here and google, but can't seem to find an answer. I have been playing around with different pressures to see what works best for me, on the front 1.8 bar feels best, however since dropping from 2 bar a creak has developed on the wheel, like when you squeeze spokes to check tension and they creak. Whats weird is that when I raise the pressure back to 2 bar the creak disappears, drop it to 1.8 bar and its back. Do the spokes need to be tensioned more at lower pressures? Does the pressure in the tyre add to the stiffness of the wheel? 11. I've used them once but collected as we are in the same area and they were/are very helpful and accommodating.. And have only heard good things about them wrt shipping.. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/141789-sportsworldcoza-is-win/page__hl__sportsworld https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/141348-sportsworldcoza/page__hl__sportsworld
  12. Aah.. makes sense now. Wikipedia: It is an offense to host a pornographic web site in South Africa because of the difficulty of age-verification and the requirement that pornography only be distributed from designated, licensed physical premises.
  13. Very interesting indeed.. Like the way it is presented.. Oh and go hubbers!! Edit: Would be interested to see how adult entertainment would stack up as I believe I have read somewhere that SA is one if the worlds biggest porn searchers/users..
  14. Shuttle day at Contermanskloof yesterday was awesome, couldn't have asked for better weather or conditions.. My first shuttle day, but definitely not my last!! Good experience to be able to run the same downhill countless time in one day trying new lines and techniques to see what works best. One thing I did take away is that dropping your seat on the downhill has great benefits. I see a dropper post making its way onto my ride in the not too distant future.. Thanks again to the guys at The Dairy Shed for organizing. Some shots of the shuttle ride and some vids of the two dh sections. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh9TO6_E9WA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QsQVkBw17s
  15. I remember one of the first or second time I rode countermans when I started MTB'ing. There was a group of riders chilling under the trees halfway up the climb after the industrial yard thing.. I was k@king on the climb but they were cheering me on, it helped so much... One of the guys in the group struck up a convo and we ended up riding the rest together, he gave me countless tips and advice which was greatly and to this day still appreciated. Guys name was Kobus on a dark coloured Giant Anthem I think. Have unfortunately never spotted him again, want to thank him for probably getting more suck into this sport than I would've been.. So say hi, you never know....
  16. Glad to see this is JHB based and not Stellies!!! :whistling: Edit: But still k@k...
  17. +1 Got one the other day and I am VERY happy with it.. Also, surely all helmets pass SABS standards whether they are R400 or R5000???
  18. I must be the lucky one then... :w00t:
  19. +1 Edit: also the Scott guys are pretty jacked with after sales service.
  20. Lol!! Started season 4 last night and went WTF, was totally lost until I went back and watched the last episode if season 3 again.
  21. Speaking of memories... 1c for two Wilson toffees... Goodness..
  22. I used to ride as well... Was the highlight of my day, lol... Times and kids were different then I, don't think it is 'cool' enough nowadays, all the kids seem to be worried about is image and how they are perceived by other kids.. Also, safety is probably a bigger factor today then what is was in our day, it would most likely be 2 muggings a week at the rate things are going at the moment.
  23. I have been using a BNB 3 bike carrier for about a year now on my Getz. Was only R900 new. It is basically permanently attached and I have never had an issue. Before I installed it though I applied some clear vinyl to the car where the rubbers rest to prevent any chaffing. Also I flipped the bottom bracket around so that the end angled up instead of down therefore having all rubbers resting on the body of the car and not the window. Also the boot can still open with the rack on. Edit: and some double sided Velcro to keep the excess strapping in check..
