  2. On the farm we had 8-10 big dogs always (Great Danes, Irish wolfhounds and bouviers). We used to give them massive bones that we got from the butcher without ever having a problem. Our Spaniel Cross Collie has got hold of bones a few times and we have had to get him sorted out by the vet 3 times with splinters in his guts, resulting in pain, discomfort and significant costs.
  3. My daughter insists that this is our pet as well
  4. Ha - bang in the middle my friend. All lekker though.
  5. Out dogs are hardcore outdoors only killer dogs, as you can see.
  6. Where is the built in obsolescence? I see iPhone 4’s still in use pretty regularly. iPads, still going, albeit slowly, since 2009 in many cases. Macs, strong like Russia .
  7. Once again, read past the headlines, otherwise it is pointless engaging with you. I bet if Apple hadn’t throttled older phones, you would be on here moaning about failures in phones with older batteries
  8. Should I feel insulted that you call me skelm? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Nonsense - nothing to do with forcing an upgrade. Read past the headlines Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Sounds like it is resolved as best as possible. Good luck China Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Financing everything, like it or not, is a way of life for many people. Just speak to your payroll team about the number of garnishee orders that come in for people at all levels in SA. We lived in Midstream back in the day. Half my mates would calculate everything they looked at by the monthly payments if they put it on the budget facility on their credit cards. They saw nothing wrong with it and it isn’t my place to judge whether that is right or not, but it wasn’t unusual. When I suggested putting a bicycle on my credit card, my wife put me straight pretty quickly. I see it regularly here as well. Staff maxed to the limit but still buying ok credit and calculating the affordability based on the monthly cost. Who knows if this is wrong or right, but it is common.
  12. Vok, that is cold
  13. First outdoor ride of the year yesterday - flipping cold, very wet, fallen trees to climb over / around, but very lekker to be out. About 2 wet degrees throughout the ride.
  14. Hope it wasn’t as bad as you anticipated. Exercise always beats the bottle. Well done
  15. Boys Sorry to hear your situations. Has got me thinking about my marriage a bit. Lucky enough that we are still in love. Have been together since we were 19 and married since we were 28. However, with the reality of life, children, work, school, horses, courses, side business, cycling etc this thread has made me realise that we don’t invest any time in each other, which is high risk for the future. Going to change that from today, thank you guys. Hope that your situations go as easily as possible.
  16. Ha, I must be the only guy who has lost money on bitcoin, although it’s only been a month or so [emoji23] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Eating airport food tonight, but have a t-bone Roast ordered for the braai on Xmas day and a massive lamb leg ordered for the braai on the 27th. On a side note, I am making lamb curry bunny chow for 100 odd of my team on Saturday - a wee taste of home
  18. Well said. Nothing more heartbreaking (in the minor problems sense, not global) than a lovely piece of meat destroyed by too much marinating. Cheap meat, marinade the **** out of it. Good meat, treat it like your lover. Caress it gently, spice only to enhance the flavour and spit roast only when it is needed.
  19. So, need help. Not sure if I have asked this before. I am doing a huge pork shoulder on the Weber tomorrow. Have done every type of roast except pork many times. What’s the best way to cook it to ensure taste and crackling?
  20. Amazing - well done China

  23. Ha - the holder for the pot
  24. Guys Does anyone know where I could get a couple of these? Can’t find one in the UK at all?
  25. Looks like it has pedals on it, although maybe they are in case of emergency Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
