In a saturated market it is this attitude of yours that will ensure that the Swartberg Fondo will thrive. I look forward to finally doing it next year.
Hopefully 4th time lucky for me having driven down to the Karoo three times before: 2016: Withdrew as I had flu; 2017: The road between the pass and Prince Albert got washed away; 2018: My Niner became scrap metal as it fell of the bike rack and got dragged behind the car on the way to the start.

This is what makes us humans so vulnerable. We come out of a bad space and we relish the kindness/respectshown/fun/seks/attention/admiration/etc without realising that it may only be great because we missed it so much. ps. When it gets to that point, wear a condom. Not only because you don't want a STD but you don't need a baby at this stage of your life.
I would definitely only do the 95 if I was riding a CX. The far side is only just ridable; on a CX bike it will be like doing an Enduro on a HT MTB. And coming back up, it is a technical climb done often at very slow speed with road surface rather than incline being the limiting factor. ps: I have entered for the 95 as I want to ride my Gravel bike.
