  1. How are these lights? See they developed for tactical use for guns etc
  2. We are already so limited for choice here, 1 less brand option. Canyon are cool looking bikes, pity that shipping cost was always the underlying issue as to so few were on the roads in SA.
  3. Was part of the combo deal. I do have the existing sram nx cassette but that's got alot of wear already. Will go for the xt chain, if it's crappy with the sunrace then will just have to fork out for a shimano cassette then
  4. Need some advice Nx derailleur snapped the wknd Purchased XT shimano derailleur now and shimano shifter and sunrace cassette.(was a good combo deal) Sram front chainring. What's best chain to buy for this 1x12 that will gel nicely with this setup
  5. Awesome news buddy
  6. What forum post on the hub? These bike traders are real opportunistic bunch
  7. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/c/hardtail-mountain-bikes?meta_discipline[is_multi_select]=true&meta_discipline[value]=Mountain+Bike&province=Western_Cape&maximum_price=10000&meta_size[is_multi_select]=true&meta_size[value]=M%2CL&meta_wheel_size[is_multi_select]=true&meta_wheel_size[value]=27.5"+(650b)%2C29" Not sure what size you are but decent amount of hardtail bikes for sale And please take someone with who knows about bikes when u go check it out or post the advert here n specs
  8. Good place to start, read that thread and ther are many topics like this that can answer your questions. If you know what size frame you need, then search away in the classified here on the hub and search as per your budget.
  9. Well then perhaps a longer stem Easier than trying to source a setback dropper, some internet searches said specialized made them previously but I haven't seen it anywhere. Goodluck
  10. Definitely, flats with some rocky bouncy bits n roots, slightly down helps alot
  11. Could it be that you on the incorrect size frame? Not ideal but maybe get longer stem What bike you riding xc or trail?
  12. Lyne components the dropper post to buy Affordable Well priced Awesome after service sales R350 for full service kit
  13. Well guess purely depends on what type of riding you do. xc and gravel only then suppose not needed
  14. All the best, wishing you lots of comfort and speedy recovery to your family soon
  15. Good info, now even more keen on the procaliber for sale in the classifieds
  16. How is the damping on the rear in comparison to a normal hardtail? Isospeed actually worth the hassle and does it require any specific maintenance
  17. Valuable input Chris as I wasnt aware of power assist setting actually work as traction assist etc. But guess it makes sense tho. Always appreciated reading your detailed feedback!
  18. Wonder if we will actually get this model in SA, haven't seen it advertised anywhere here
  19. Power of ebikes might put some newby riders on ebikes in sticky situations that they might not have the skillset to manage it. Had no idea bikes have a trail mode which gives even power delivery , good to know I will eventually go the ebike route, just scared to take the step and never want to ride a normal bike again????????
  20. Was thinking about this, will make an accomplished rider even better but can count against a newby if they do get onto a normal bike again. But I guess on a technical descent like DH0 in tokai it won't add more ease, it's more on flat and up technical routes.
  21. Not sure if this been asked before or if it's relevant Do you think a newish rider will need slightly less skill when riding technical trails with an ebike?more ascending uphill or negotiating flat technical sections My reasoning is that in assist or turbo mode ,an assisted pedal stroke will push/force you over or thru obstacles whereas your own power stroke might not be able to.
  22. Oh that's sweeeeeet , excellent upgrade. Let us know how the new bike goes, hope delivery is this year still with these shortages
  23. If not loosing air or not bent or warped as you ride, then leave it as is
  24. What did you buy? Or looking to buy And why did you sell the fluid ? @Andy Contact cycles united group, they have many stores and they are the Norco distributors in SA
  25. Fair point on the scott. Perhaps try Norco fluid fs1 2020 goes for R40k , Mello vello stocks them and good bikes Rockshox pike Shimano slx 1 x 12 and 4 piston brakes. I ride a fluid, a tad heavy but it's a tank downhill
