  1. Here the hub price : Campy 2011 Eurus R4000.00 (2 sets available) Campy 2011 Shamals R7000.00 Mavic ES (as per your picture) R4200.00 Like I said before, I'd buy the Shamal's.
  2. Love Campy wheels, they bullet proof. Also have a set of Mavic SL's and they also great, hit a pot hole at Dome 2 Dome at about 70km/h and the stayed true - I was amazed. One thing I've heard about Mavic's is that they eventually let go (crack), got a heavy mate (110kg) and he's gone through to set's. Seems they ok if you a light weight though. Personally I'd take the Campy Shamal's over the Mavic's as they last longer - guaranteed.
  3. Post a picture of the new frame / bike
  4. I just avoid Suikerbosrand altogether.
  5. Huge RESPECT !!!! Did my 1st 94.7 3 years ago and that year I did a 3:12 on a 10spd road bike. Well Done.
  6. It wont work, you need a Racetec / Winning Time Chip.
  7. Somebody is going to cry !!!
  8. I pump mine to 9bar, weigh 73kg.
  9. Put a road bike on the trainer.
  10. Maybe just some glitches in there system. Maybe Sh!tmano lost some stock with all the water problems in the East. Buy Campy !!!!
  11. I think you went about it the wrong way. First you should have bought a Campy groupset then buy a frame with the change
  12. I'll hopefully be back next year, need to beat my 2010 time. This year I was a little slower due to the rain

The "boot / fridge" is so that you can keep your milkshake cold. A 3 spd MTB & you run without shoes

Have you bought a plastic bike yet ? Put a fridge in the "boot" even if the "boot" is in front of you

You'll easily manage !! But just so that you understand, I ain't waiting for you at the finish line
  17. Don't worry, I suffer every time I go there. Avoided that place for about a year but visited it last week doing the Race for Victory. I run similar gearing to you 12-25 on the back. Majority have to stand to climb those 13% gradients.
  18. Good choice in frame & excellent choice in groupset !!!
  19. All I'm going to say is that soon ALL your bikes will be UPGRADED to MERIDA'S
  20. 6 Nov is the OFM Race in Bloem. Not too sure how many JHB people will go down but it's something to keep in mind. I do however agree that it needs to be before the 94.7 cycle challenge.
  21. We have some in Alberton
  22. Are these the skeleton as per the link (which doesn't work) or the same as the picture ?
  23. Was 4 degrees this morning in Alberton. Coldest ride this year.
  24. I had the exact same experience as you. Bought a pair of shorts last year just after the 94.7 and I paid R280 (or so), went back at the end of January this year and they were R 490 (or so). I asked the guy why the exact same pair of shorts and increased in price so drastically and was told that they had introduced an entry level pair of shorts with a Coolmax shammy. Wish them well and walked out. Got onto the inter webs and brought kit in from over the seas. The local guys need to catch a wake up - IMO.
  25. Sorry TNT1 but you wrong. Athena compares with Dura Ace!!! CAMPY all the way !!!
